We have all been anxiously awaiting the release of the Tamagotchi Connection Version 2. I have been extremely lucky and I received one as a gift from my boyfriend, who had ordered one from England. I have only been running the tama for about two days now, but I have a lot to share with you about some of the new features etc.
The controls are the same, and then menus are the same except for the addition of extra options. Under the health meter menu there is the addition of a points menu that pretty much tallies your point totals for you. Much like a bank account would. Under the food menu there is now a treat option, treats are food items that you buy in the shop, and once you feed them to your tama they disappear. I think with the Keitai, once you bought a food item you have it forever, not so in this Version.

There are *tons* of new characters, and it seems like you can get a mix from the Tamagotchi Keitai and the Connections/Connexions. Right now I have the Apple shaped character, I think its one of the higher up teens, but Im not sure since we dont have a growth chart to go by.
The shop feature is very cool. I wanted to buy a Keitai for that very feature, so Im very pleased that the new UK/US versions have it as well. The shop seems to have new items about twice a day. Im having bad luck with the games, so Im not earning very many points at all, but so far I have bought a Cracker which my character liked, and a Wig thing. As I accumulate more points, Ill be sure to add some more of the items that you can get.

Connecting with other Tamagotchis is pretty cool. Ive been connecting with my Connection V1 and Ive received Ice Cream Cones, Snakes, Flowers and Cake.
Continued a few days later
Ive been really busy the past few days due to college exams, and the pause feature is really coming in handy! I now have an elephant/mammoth looking creature, and the slot game is now available to me! I find it to be much easier than the other three games, and much more rewarding. You have the capability to win up to 900 points. There are also much more exciting items like Walkmans referred to as Music and some really interesting objects that were too expensive for me to purchase.
Overall, I think this upgraded version is really worth the wait, and the money. Bandai has really added some neat features, and not just fixed some bugs and re-released the item. I cant wait until we receive the growth charts and item lists! Thats when the fun will really start.
