I recently found a brand-new Morino for sale at a decent price, still sealed in the package. While I would like to buy it, I'm wondering if this is a good idea, given that the original batteries will have been sitting in it for many, many years!

I would want to get some use out of a Morino, and I'm just afraid that I'll open up the back to discover that the batteries have corroded after all this time.

Am I better off buying something used, with a newer battery in it, or should a sealed-in-package vintage still be okay?

Thank you :)

I've bought sealed vintage Tamagotchis numerous times before but they didn't have any corrosion, so there's no need to worry. :) Nonetheless, when you receive the Tamagotchi, it is a good idea to use your own new batteries rather than the ones it already came with.

I would buy it. As EMF said, your own new battery. Even used with batteries you still should use your own. Old batteries have a higher chance to corrode or cause damage.
