Does anyone know why this happens?

Today i bought a tamagotchi i found in a mall, i was so excited and started shaking since i have NEVER seen tamagotchis in toy shops.
But when i started playing with it, it sounded differently compared to my other tamagotchi, they're both gen 2.
The higher the beep is, the louder it is.
Should i replace the battery and why does it happen?

electronic devices in general may lose volume overtime, and since you bought a new one it sounds more louder than the older one.
