This is how to tell if it is a fake Tamagotchi:

So beware!!!!!! <_<  :p B)

-It is very cheap and alot cheaper than real tamas!

-Isn't an oval egged shaped like a tama

-Has more or less than 3 buttons, must have 3 buttons to be real

-doesn't say tamaogotchi on it, but may say sumthin else.

-Doesn't have a version.

-doesn't have the tamagotchi characters

Enjoy and beware!!!!!!!

I know one! sometimes it says "tamogotchi" instead of "tamagotchi" learn to spell it or you can be conned!

but some way different types of Tamagotchi have 6 buttons, like the Tamagotchi School. And the tamagotchi school is bigger and longer than the regular Tamagotchi.

But you are right on the directions for the regular Tamagotchi.

also, to tell a fake. is that it can't connect with the real tamas.

hopem u find my topic useful!

I think this should be moved to Tamagotchi Warnings.

I have a fake tamagotchi. Alot of fake tamas are made by the same company; JD. It's a company that sells fake tamagotchis. They come out with high versions like V9, V10, V12, V5, V7, and stuff like that. If you see the logo JD or any fake logo, don't buy the tamagotchi. Well, you can. Fakes can often be fun, but I'd much prefer to be loyal to Bandai. :) My fake tamagotchi fooled me. I thought it was real.
