On the vintage versions, unhealthy characters have shorter lifespans, but not on connections and later versions as far as I know.

Yes, they accumulate. Getting a certain number of care misses as a toddler or teen will affect which teen/adult character you get. There are several version-specific care miss charts out online. I usually just Google "(tmgc model name) care miss chart" and I get what I'm looking for. Good luck!

My first tamas was the chocolate argyle v4.5. I got it for Christmas in 3rd grade and I was super excited because my cousin had one at some point. She never explained to me what it was, but I still thought it was cute. It was actually lucky that my parents got it because I didn't know what they were called. I didn't know that it needed constant care so I left it on a shelf for awhile and it died. After that, my parents helped me figure it out and I enjoyed it! Later that month, my grandparents took my sister and I to the theater and I forgot I had my tama on my lap, so I assume it fell in some crevice in the floor when I stood up. We left and I realized I didn't have it. I was devastated! My grandparents bought me a new one because I missed it so much. I still have that one now. It's the v4.5 girls rock graffiti. I think that's where my love of v4.5s come from. -

That happen to me too. You might be pressing A too many times to get the shopkeeper surprised. Make sure you only press A four times. It will make noise the first time and then three silent presses after that. I think it should work. -
So, I bought a supposedly broken v3 off of ebay 1. Because it was cheap 2. I liked the shell and 3. Because I wanted to try and fix it. It arrived today and I put batteries in just to test it. Lo and behold! It worked! I'm so excited!
