  1. They do look like Nanos. I wonder if they will be full games or just the simplified accessory version? I really hope they are a whole game.
  2. I grabbed a pre-order on HLJ, one of each plain shell for myself and one for my kid. The big silicone cover was already closed and I figure I can just put one of my many Gudetama charms on the chain if I need a decoration. They only cost ¥2,070 or about $18 each and it looks like $5 to ship (since it's a pre-order I haven't been billed yet). I saw the first one on eBay today:
  3. Nevermind, I see they do! Also a lot of speculation on the prices going way up if I wait and buy them on eBay... I assume this happened with the last releases? I've been really in and out of Tama happenings these past years. :X
  4. Does HLJ accept PayPal? I was gonna wait and get them on eBay when they're out but I wonder if the price will be way up?
  5. Yay! Glad someone did a post with the graphics and am exact release date! I was initially kind of confused about the bigger styles but realized there's links on the site that shows them as what appears to be silicone covers, the tamas inside are the same two as show. LOVE the return to small ones and Gudetama concept!
  6. I'm intrigued by this minimalism. I sometimes miss living out of a backpack.
  7. I have a picky rescue ball who hunger strikes, I feel this.
  8. Ohh, man! Found out today there's a GUDETAMA Tamagotchi coming in December! Can't wait for a mod to okay my post with details, haha. XD

I don't know what I'm more excited about, my favourite character as a Tama or a return to pocket sized Tamas..XD

im so hyped abt it! it looks so cute... i wonder how evolution works? hmm

I wonder what characters and stuff like that! I've always wanted a chibi or nano and I havent gotten a new tama in a while so this might be my chance!

  9. Oh my gosh, you guys!!! I'm a huge fan of Gudetama and I've been excitedly saving up for the Sanrio M!x but this takes the cake! Not only is it a Gudetama specific Tama BUT it appears to be a return to small pocket-sized shells. It looks like the game is the same and the only difference is the shells, which I super liked about the originals/Connections and was put off by the M!xs. Release date is December and they appear to be about $20-25 or so, if I've got the conversion right. I am thrilled! This concept looks like it will be a real winner and I'm pumped to see a return to small/cheap Tamas. After hearing rumours of the Tamagotchi line declining and Bandai selling it, I think this will have the potential to boost them. It's cheap enough to be more accessible, functions as an accessory again (and therefore advertises itself), and has a very popular character. TM Edit: Note - 2 topics merged into one
  10. This thread inspired by the weird looks I got playing Tamagotchi while listening to Slayer... I am a multi-facetted personality. 9_6
  11. Enthusiasm for any music is fine by me! Gonna have to look up Muse, now.
  12. Very cool! I really like Dream Theater, the rest I'm not up to speed on but I'll have to give them a listen. I like all sorts of stuff, I just listed genres for the sake of organization. Some people can be really snobbish about music, I've never been bothered by someone having different tastes. =p
  13. I was never into any subculture/group, just listen to a ton of music, especially on the job or while working around home. I still love the bands I was listening to at a kid, too.
  14. Ah, I see! I just got all four badges on three characters. I didn't realize I had to do it on more than one. Thank you! There are seven more places after Henshin Jo as well as unlockable icon strips and more food. It looks like you just have to keep raising different characters to get to them.
  15. I'm 29 and I still play, or rather, tried them when they came out (6th grade) and wasn't too interested. I came back and tried the 4.5 in my early twenties and liked them a lot better. Maybe because the "virtual pet" hype had my expectatins a bit lofty back in 1997, haha. I don't like video games for the amount of time and absorbtion they take but 30 seconds here and there throughout the day without being tethered to a computer/console are a lot more enjoyable for me. I'm running the ID L with my three-year-old right now. =P
