  1. For Tamagotchi, it is the method of reproduction and getting a new egg, essentially restarting the life cycle. In some versions, this is more elaborate than others. For example, in the Tamagotchi M!x, marriage allows one to mix the traits of the parents. For other tamagotchis, this is barely noticeable and serves as the 'gateway' to the next generation. (Like the Tamagotchi Tama-go, or 4U). Marriage is not required in any of the tamagotchis (I think), but the tamagotchi may die from old age if unmarried (and if it is an earlier version tama). If you have tamagotchis other than Tamagotchi M!x/Meets, it's likely a minor feature. (The parent does not affect offspring in most other releases.)
  2. Hiya Tamatalk! Everything is so much shinier!! :D

  3. According to this post: " http://www.tamatalk.com/IB/topic/191330-4u-compatible-phones/ " It seems that the Samsung Galaxy S3 isn't working. You can find a full list of compatible and noncompatible phones here: http://mrblinky.net/tama/4u/app/ I think the Nexus 7 Tablet is your best bet, I have a Nexus 7 (I think) phone and it works well with the Tamagotchi 4U. Plus, it is confirmed on here: https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/tamazone/using-nexus-4-with-tamagotchi-4u-t27115.html (As long as it is the 2013 version apparently) I hope this helps
  4. I'm back into tamas! I've been really excited for the past few weeks about the tamagotchi meets, and finally I've learned that I'm getting one for Christmas!! :D

  5. Did you read the instructions at the bottom? "To enter the logout code on your TamaGo: Go to the door icon. Choose PC. Don't enter any points. Ignore the login code. Enter the logout code." You don't need to put the tama character's name on the device, just enter the name you put into the text box on the website. Then click the button on the computer and it will put a log out code. ^ That's what I think, anyway. I didn't test yet
  6. Not sure if this could help, but it's a website from Mr. Blinky (who is pretty amazing). http://mrblinky.net/tama/go/ezgotchi/ I haven't tried it yet but I hope it works for you!
  7. HAPPY ALMOST EASTER!!!! ( {} )

  8. I cheer every time they age up, and Christmases. I only get my tamagotchis as Christmas presents. And isn't it an accomplishment to see your little tama grow a year older?
  9. Physical tamagotchis are just... the experience. It feels like a baby in your hands, and an app on your device can never substitute for that. I tried an app, and it was boring compared to my already feature-limited Tama-go.
  10. Tama's are geared for infrared phones, so they work better with ir phones, but irDa USB's work too. Personally, I have no experience with this stuff.
  11. I do sort of the same thing, except when I have to go to school. I make sure my tama-go is silent, but I also change the time so that it is sleeping while I'm at school.
  12. I FINALLY GOT BATTERIES FOR BOTH TAMA-GO AND MUSIC STAR!! I AM UP AND RUNNING AGAIN!! :)

  13. Hahaha! These are all so funny! Ok. What do you say when a tamagotchi comes to your house?

  15. Congratulations! I always wanted a color tamagotchi. But if you want to know, the English patch will only work if your phone does infrared.
  16. I looked at some images. Maybe this one: http://i43.tinypic.com/fp6p1k.jpg But I never owned a nano, so... Yeah... It's probably not the right one
  17. Yup! I'm pretty sure it will do something different for other holidays, though.
