  1. You can message “Admin” about it.
  2. As this is an English exclusive and the resolution is high enough, I wonder if it will finally have a lowercase font instead of all text being in caps again.
  3. Children rarely use forums anymore. They’re not very mobile-friendly, and Windows 10 is too user-hostile compared to older versions. Maybe the rising popularity of Chromebooks and MacBooks will help.
  4. Welcome to journalism. They don't care at all, especially when the subject involves technology or children. It's only obvious when it's about a subject you happen to know about, so always keep it in mind when reading/watching news.
  5. 4 colours was already too much? And of course, they picked the two girliest colours out of the 4. (Good thing I had already decided on pink...) This will hurt sales. And it shows how little faith Bandai has in the product. The Tamagotchi Friends website was just suddenly replaced with the On website, after the account system corrupted without being fixed 2 years earlier. Good that they're keeping the On site on a subdomain this time. How does that protect your privacy? Obviously the actual reasons are that they had to drop Bluetooth to stay under the £60 budget, and that the pictures are too low-resolution to look good when stretched to a larger screen. You can still take a picture of your Tamagotchi's screen with another camera (which will be the only way to preserve the photo's in case of a reset), this just brings the quality down even further. But that also goes for the Connexion games, and you do have to name them there…
  6. It's been so many years since I saw the iD L on the Internet, wondering when it would come to Europe. FINALLY. So happy and a bit annoyed at the same time. Just like with the Nintendo 3DS camera, it's not a very exciting feature for most people because they already have phones with much better camera's in them. However, some children will have this as their main camera, like children with €150 Android phones that are much less reliable than a Tamagotchi. Plus, it gives adults who would otherwise buy a bootleg for their children, a selling point for the real thing that they can understand. Official announcement should be later today, right? I also hope there's a better selection of colours than what's shown here. They're using the West as a beta testing ground again. The Tama-Go expirimented with cartridges/pierces, the Friends expirimented with NFC, the Pix expiriments with a touch sensor and a camera.
  7. I play all of these except "Just Dance" and "Gacha Life".
  8. The marketing is stereotypically girly, but don't worry, the actual game is not. The older games had edgy boyish shells too.
  9. Cool, but that will still require a forked browser, as NPAPI and Pepper API will be removed altogether.
  10. Yes, Pale Moon works too. I mentioned its sister-product Basilisk instead because Pale Moon is an unnecessarily far throwback for people who are just interested in Flash. (And because Australis is my favourite Firefox iteration). Waterfox is the most up-to-date option, but it might stop supporting Flash in the future unlike Basilisk, so I included both.
  11. Waterfox and Basilisk are forks of Firefox that maintain support for legacy plugins like Adobe Flash. (Basilisk is less up to date, less secure, and doesn't support Macs, so I recommend using Waterfox.) Download Waterfox or download Basilisk, then download this version of Flash. If you still have the no longer functional version of Flash installed, uninstall that first. If you're on Mac or Windows, select "Never Check for Updates" while installing the plugin (if you do update, Flash will block itself again). If you're on Linux, you have to install it by placing the "" file into the "~/.mozilla/plugins/" folder.
  12. "Sanrio" is not a well known name outside of Japan, so they'd have to call it "Tamagotchi On: Hello Kitty & Friends" and then people would complain it doesn't feature Hello Kitty enough. So they made another Nano instead. With Bandai America liking the Nano so much right now, I wonder if they'll finally localise the original Nano at some point.
  13. In Japan they are instead releasing the Tamagotchi Meets Sanrio DX Set, which is the same as the regular Meets Sanrio but in red colour and with an included lanyard.
  14. You could try finding the JavaME game (my profile picture is the title screen) and running that in J2ME Loader. The Angelgotchi version (I think that's what @Knighttchi's Ballad was referring to) was free to download from Bandai's site back in the day.
  15. Weight forces you to serve reasonable meals at reasonable times, instead of just feeding your Tamagotchi constantly whenever the stomach has room again. I did that with my Familitchi (v5), and then they turned into Metaboritchi's. Secondly, if you neglect to feed your Tamagotchi, without the weight mechanic, they starve to death in a set timespan from the moment the hunger meter runs out, regardless of how much or little you fed them before. (Or was that never different?) In Friends (v8), weight does literally nothing, whether your Tamagotchi is 5 LB or 99 LB. But that's more a symptom of that game's general unfinishedness.
  16. Meanwhile in On/Meets they removed weight altogether 😒
  17. Yeah, candies are apparently poisonous in the Classic rereleases 😕
  18. Oh, you’re right! I thought that they were all Gen 1! Here’s a Gen 2ÅMÅŽÕÑ&dchild=1&keywords=Tamagotchi&qid=1599643834&sr=8-9 But I’m not sure if that can be ordered from the country @LucidLyes lives in.
  19. Bandai seems focused on their Generation 1 rereleases unfortunately. They did rerelease Generation 2 during the 20th anniversary, so maybe they’ll print it again some time. The current Tamagotchi’s are 128p. That’s pretty far removed from HD (720p) 😜 The piracy industry prefers bootlegs over emulation when it comes to Tamagotchi. There’s only a Tamagotchi Generation 1 emulator, and it’s extremely barebones. Emulation is something they mainly use against Nintendo; there’s a Wii U emulator and a Switch emulator, but not a functional PlayStation Vita emulator, despite the fact that that would probably be easier to make and less intensive to run than those. So don’t expect them to make emulators for all the various Tamagotchi hardware variations over the years.
  20. A Nintendo franchise. If you have a Switch or 3DS you can buy it from the eShop for cheap. Since Nintendo popularized these puzzles, the name is often used for similar/identical puzzles like this device, but the actual generic term is nonogram puzzle. You can buy books with paper versions of these as well.
