  1. Not sure, but that's something I'll look into. I got it at an anime convention dealer that sells vintage virtual pets like this, so I dont have the instructions or original packaging. I havent had a gigapet in ages so I didnt know about the programming 😅
  2. Hey all, just got a Gigapet Cyberkitty, and I cant seem to change the time. When I first started, I accidentally entered the time at the default, and the instructions I find keep saying to hit the enter button when the time is displayed to change it, but the nothing happens but a beep. When I reset, I dont get an option to set the time. Am I doing something wrong? I attached an image of the model I'm dealing with, if it matters. It wouldn't be such a big deal if I didnt work lol 😅
  3. Honestly, I dont see why so many people are having an issue with something as small as same gender marriage and breeding in Tamagotchis. Like, really, what difference will it make in gameplay besides being just that much more diverse? If it's implemented, you dont have to take advantage of it? Personally, I'd love it! I was actually just thinking about this yesterday. Though, honestly, it was mainly because there was a tama I saw that I wanted my girl to breed with, but come to find out it was another girl. They would have made beautiful babies ☺️
  4. I just picked up one for me and one for my fiancee, since both of us remember them but neither of us actually had one. Seems similar to the Digivices that came out around the same time (I had one of those), so it's been pretty easy to learn its care.
  5. For example, I just went to Barnes and Noble and picked up reboots of the old school Digimon tamas (the virtual pet, not glorified step tracker), one for my fiancee and I each, and the Gudetama Tamagotchi. Also saw reboots of the P1s and P2s, alongside the newest tamas. Also saw some AR versions of Gigapets on Amazon, too. My collection keeps growing with the stimulus and unemployment checks from covid lol, now that I have money to slap into more tamas that I dont need
  6. I'm currrently waiting patiently for my p1 and ID L to come in the mail that I got on Ebay. One will be in tomorrow!
  7. I recently found a couple Tama Friends Dreamtowns at a small miscellaneous shop for $7 each. You can bet your biscuits I snatched them both up for my fiancee and I considering the second cheapest I found was at Hot Topic for around $30 each.
  8. Waiting to get a P, mainly due to price. Even though it's a Japanese import, I can't bring myself to spend $45+ on a tama. 😞 Maybe when I get tax refunds or something.
  9. Happy Birthday :)

      No problem,hope you had a great day :3

  10. The only thing it seems that weight affects is what adult your tama will evolve into. I was curious, so I kept my tama at maximum weight and he turned into a Shimashimatchi, an adorable bumblebee/bear looking tama. And if he gets really over fed, they get a little, er, troubled and poop a lot if you give them medicine. ;w;
  11. I don't generally ship Tamagotchi characters, but great googly moogly to I have a ton of ships~ Right now, my favorites are: Connverse (Steven Universe X Connie Maheswaren from Steven Universe) Pearlmethyst (Pearl and Amethyst from Steven Universe) PunkRock (Rose Quartz and Greg Universe from Steven Universe) Soma (Soul Evans X Maka Albarn from Soul Eater) Soul Evans X Crona from Soul Eater (not sure of what this ship name is) CroKid (Crona X Death the Kid from Soul Eater) Panty and Brief from Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt (don't know the ship name) ParaPines (Dipper Pines from Gravity Falls and Norman Babcock from Paranorman) NaLu (Natsu Dragneel and Lucy Heartfilia from Fairy Tail) LoLu (Loke/Leo and Lucy Heartfilia from Fairy Tail) EdWin (Edward Elric and Winry Rockbell from Fullmetal Alchemist) AlMei (Alphonse Elric and Mei Chang from Fullmetal Alchemist) Royai (Roy Mustang and Riza Hawkeye from Fullmetal Alchemist) Let me tell you this doesn't even scratch the surface. (ノ゚0゚)ノ~
  12. Married off two of my tamas recently, one on my Tama-Go, the other on my V5. I also painted my Tama-Go a nice metallic blue and added some studded decals to it. I'll take a picture when I get the chance to.
  13. I carry mine on a carabiner that I hook onto my belt loops or just carry them in a bunch in my purse. No matter what, they are always connected by keychains so I don't lose track of them. ;w;
  14. I just bought one myself, only after they went on sale at Toys R Us for $10, though. I'm used to the large size with my Tama-Go, but I agree that they are just too darn big now. I much prefer the way my V5 feels in my hand than my Tama-Go and Tamafriends. And I'm also bummed about the way that they connect now - the infrared made it easy to connect with multiple versions - I'm disappointed in Dreamtown since I was expecting an MMO-like interaction, not a Flash game, and I'm upset that they are marketed for little girls now. This is the first version that I've seen that was like that. As a genderqueer person, I always go for gender neutral designs, and I think they would have done better if there were masculine, neutral, and feminine designs, not just ones that look like they got farted out of a sparkle unicorn (the store I went to had four designs - the purple painted one described by the OP, the white with colorful stars, and the solid colored with sparkles around the screen in blue and pink - I went with the latter two because they felt the least cutesy to me). I also miss having items that you can use with your tamas, like I can play with a paint set, a doll, or a freaking cruise ship on my V5, but I don't have that opportunity with my Tama-Go or my Tamafriends. What I do like, however, are the new features in this one - I like that you can send messages to other toys, and I do like the concept of 'bumping'. I much, much prefer the games in this version - they seem more fun than, say, the Tama-Go's base games of jumping and shooting bugs (I mean, come on, they couldn't have come up with anything better?), and though the characters are more cutesy, I love their designs. They're adorable and more interesting, coming from someone who's specialty in my degree is character design. The depth and contrast of the screen and pixels is a great touch as well (I can see my babies much better). I also don't get the point of the jewelry thing? Does the jewelry do anything or is it there just for a collection? All in all, I knew what I was getting myself into, and the Tamafriends has it's pros and cons, but I'm pretty satisfied with what I was presented with.
  15. After calling three Toys R Us's and a Hot Topic regarding the TamaFriends, I finally found a Toys R Us that was a slight detour on my way home that had a whopping six in stock, on clearance. Naturally, I bought one for myself and one for my fiancee. Finally. Just started it up a few minutes ago, and I've been blessed with a tiny Pinkagotchi.
