  1. I use a 2.2mm screwdriver from a set but if you shop around you should be able to find one on its own
  2. For me the best bit is discovering their evolutionary trees, I'm currently trying to find Moll and Lora on the Mothra and I'm having a blast
  3. I think the English patch actaully came out today, if what people are saying in the digimon discord server I'm in are right. I could've checked since bandai actually have a list up on their site with compatable smart phones listed but alas, I didn't think to check first I'm with you on needing a less expensive hobby tho lmao
  4. Feeding a tamagotchi snacks can make them unhealthy, so can failing to turn the lights off in time after they fall asleep It is odd to see a tamagotchi perish so soon, but the gen 1s are more unforgiving than later releases so it can take a little getting used to if you've not played them before
  5. I got my vital bracelet a few months back without realising that the app didn't support my phone, but fortunately it seems that without the app the only features that you can't use are raid battles and stat boosting items
  6. I'd say your best bet is probably resale sites like ebay or facebook market place, if you check back once a week or so hopefully someone will list one eventually!
  7. Ooh, I'd be super interested in how raising a tamagotchi works, since I read an interview with a bandai rep a little while ago that implied there was going to be less emphasis on raising the little guys in the pix
  8. For me it's got to be v3. It was my first so it's probably just nostalgia bias, but the disapline and light switch are really iconic to me.
  9. Just had something strange happen with my Morino. While I was playing the game after feeding my tamagotchi a size growing candy the visuals corrupted between rounds; the leaf display showed three leaves instead of the usual four and took me to the feeding screen rather than the guessing game. When I exited the menu my tamagotchi was asleep and checking the clock I noticed that the time had reset to 12:30am, so I corrected the clock and checked my tamagotchi's status. All of their stats had emptied to 0, not just hunger and happiness but the size stat too, which is odd since it starts with 30mm if I remember correctly. The weight said PM 0 or PM 1, I can't recall the last digit as I was preoccupied with the PM mark, I assume this was some sort of error from trying to display a value outside of the normal range of weights. I went to the food option and, while I'm not familiar with all of the Kabutotchi growing candies, I had a growth candy available to me that seemed to resemble a parfait in a raised bowl. The candy grew Kabutotchi 2mm, restored two points of hunger, fully filled happiness, and set the weight to 99mg, though I'm not sure whether this was some sort of overflow/underflow glitch, the game realising that the weight was greater than the upper cap and lowering it to be in bounds, or maybe the candy just raises the weight to max. My current theory is that the power was interupted momentarily just through freak coinsidence, I'll give the contacts a good clean when I change the batteries next, but if anyone knows anything else this could be please let me know!
  10. ================================================================= Sorry about this, I almost immediately found the answer, I just needed to use the care option, I didn't realise that the term morino was used more widely that mori de hakken until i was filling in the tags on this post and I didn't think to check again before posting, my bad, I'll check more thoroughly in the future! ================================================================= Hi I recently bought a morino and yesterday I started it up, everything was fine. When they woke up this morning they seemed the same as the night before but around ten o'clock (approximately 24 hours after i turned it on) it became this strange cocoon, I copied the design out and attached it to this post. On the overhead view they're not moving which initially made me think it was just a cocoon animation between stages but they've been in this form for a while now and their hunger and happiness meters aren't frozen like I assume a cocoon's would be. When I try to feed them the leaf just sits next to them, eventually it takes me back to the food select screen and looking at the stats screen shows that their hunger meter hasn't changed. When I try to play a game nothing visually changes but it will ignore the next button input I press. All the other functions like menu navigation, the clock, and muting the tamagotchi are working so it seems like it's just the tamagotchi that's not working. I looked around for what it could be but i can't find any documentation of this form. My only thought is that this is some sort of emaciated form from keeping my tamagotchi's weight too low since I read that weight affects growth on this tamagotchi and the pixels in the lower right of the sprite resemble a cane but I'd think someone would've doccumented that if that were the case. Any help or information would be appreciated!
