  1. This comes as absolutely no surprise as we have seen the leaked images MONTHS ago, even before the Tamagotchi Meets was announced. Today, Bandai formally announced the Tamagotchi Meets Pastel version. This new version will be added to the Tamagotchi Meets lineup and feature some new locations, characters, and more! The Pastel version comes in two different designs, one in white, and the other in purple. Both feature unique floral faceplates to match their shells and differentiate themselves from the original Tamagotchi Meets version. Wha else is new on this version? New locations! Pastel version will include two new locations, Easter Land and Flower Garden. These locations are so beautiful and will feature some new characters along with some familiar faces! Easter Land is all about the upcoming Easter holiday, everything seems to be egg shaped, pastel colored, and bunny themed. Flower Garden looks like a beautiful spring garden, everything is in bloom and very colorful, there are several gardens laid out amongst the gorgeous landscape - breathtaking! So what about those characters? Well in Easter Land you’re going to meet four new faces pictured above all the characters are Easter themed and so adorable. Flower Garden we have two returning characters, and one familiar face! Butterflytchi, and Yotsubatchi can be found in Flower Garden, and a new variant of Furawatchi decorated in flowers, and a pink cape! No word on pricing yet, but it should be along the same price as the Tamagotchi Meets. The Pastel version will be available on shelves in Japan on March 9th, this is just in time for Easter and right before the official start of spring! We are so excited about this version, are you planning on getting one?

    English Gudetama Tamagotchis release!

Target Stores Carrying Gudetama Tamagotchi! Such exciting news! We can confirm from a Tamagotchi fan (@screamingsnektchi) that Target stores are carrying the beloved Gudetama Tamagotchi! This fan found the device in a Target store in Albuquerque, New Mexico! You may remember that previously only GameStop was carrying them, then they showed up at ThinkGeek, now Target is showing some love. Don’t forget, those Gudetama case bundles are still exclusive to GameStop, Target is carrying just the Gudetama Tamagotchi device for $19.99. You’ll still need to make a trip to a GameStop store or order at GameStop.com to get your hands on one of those case bundles. We are so excited to hear the Gudetama Tamagotchi is making its way to stores nationwide! We’ll keep you informed if we see them pop up on other store shelves!
  3. The moment has finally come! Bandai Japan has just officially announced the Eevee Tamagotchi, which is that fabulous collaboration that was leaked a few weeks back. Tamagotchi and Pokemon fans around the world can rejoice because this one is good. Just as you’ve expected, the details previously provided are pretty much on par with the official details. There will be two versions, ‘Love Eevee’ and ‘Colorful Friends’ which feature different shell designs, but will both have the same content. Each Eevee will hatch from an egg and depending on your care you can get a variety of Eevee’s! Each variation of Eevee is a bit different and all based upon care, there are a total of 8 variations of Eevee; they’re all super adorable! There also appears to be three mystery variations that Bandai has not yet released, but you can see that in the graphic above. You’ll be raising Eevee the whole time, which includes feeding, playing games, and enjoying Eeevee’s close up expressions right on your Tamagotchi screen! How adorable? The Eeeve Tamagotchi’s will be released on January 26th 2019, the MSRP is ¥2300 which is roughly $20 USD. The targeted age group for this device is 6+ due to its simplicity. It’s very important to note that this device is very different from the traditional Tamagotchi as it has similar functionality to the Tamagotchi Nano, and the newer Gudetama Tamagotchi. Bandai will be releasing a video really soon with additional information and functionality. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as we receive additional information. How excited are you for this Eevee Tamagotchi?!

    English Gudetama Tamagotchis release!

GudeTama Tamagotchi Pre-Orders on GameStop.com We know what you’re thinking, WHAT?! Bandai America released a press release on October 1st that definitely went under the radar, but it revealed some major Tamagotchi news. The press release was centered around the Tamagotchi Original being available online and in stores, and also Bandai’s partnership with Tile and Loot Crate. At the very bottom of the press release theres this magical sentence that’ll make you smile: Bandai will also be releasing a Tamagotchi based on Sanrio’s lazy egg character, Gudetama - coming out in 2019. Thats right, the Gudetama Tamagotchi originally released in Japan last year is making its way to the United States! GameStop has listed their Gudetama Tamagotchi’s, which apparently will be a GameStop exclusive. Starting December 15th you can pick up the Gudetama Tamagotchi in a set with a sitting case, egg case, or just the device itself. Oddly enough all the pricing is the same at just $19.99 USD. We have confirmed with Bandai America that the Gudetama Tamagotchi’s on U.S. shelves have been fully translated into English (YAY!). These weren’t supposed to hit shelves until 2019, so we would definitely recommend preordering on GameStop.com or heading over to a GameStop store after December 15th to pick one up before the holidays! *Special thanks to @osumesu21 for the tip

LEAKED: Tamagotchi Meets Launching November 2018

Bandai Japan Release Tamagotchi Meets Details! Bandai Japan has just released some information on the upcoming release of the Tamagotchi Meets that we have been leaked a while ago! TamaTV.com has just been updated with lots of details on the newest Tamagotchi set to launch on November 23rd, 2018. The Tamagotchi Meets is all about connectivity! It features similar gameplay to the Tamagotchi M!X released back in 2016, but with a few new improvements. First off let’s discuss the shell designs, there will initially be two different versions, the Fairy version, and the Magical version. Fairy versions are available in pink, blue, and yellow. While the Magical version is available in pink, purple, and green. We must say these colors are definitely more rich that the M!X, and the faceplates are more colorful, and just adorable! We are sure we will see more versions in the future, like we did with the M!X. One of the awesome new features on the Meets is the ability to raise twins and have pets! Twins will definitely be interesting as of course you can only marry off one Tamagotchi and have offspring. A really interesting fact is that your Tamagotchi pet can now get married, and produce offspring. These will lead to unique pet mixes that are SUPER adorable! You can see in the graphic that there are several new characters including some really adorable pets. Many of your favorite characters are back, including Mametchi Kuchipatchi, Memetchi, and more, including Gozarutchi and Coffretchi! The new characters are just adorable! We will have more information on them soon, including their bios. These characters are bound to make some interesting mixes! Fairy Tale and Magical Land are the two new locations you’ll be able to visit on your Meets. Similar to the M!X, Fairy Tale will only be available on the Fairy version, and Magical Land will be exclusive to the Magical version. There are also two exclusive Fairy characters, and two exclusive Magical characters. Let’s talk Stations! The Tamagotchi M!X brought us the Tamagotchi M!X Station, which allowed users to connect and download exclusive content throughout Japan and even marry their Tamagotchi off to unique characters and produce unique offspring. With Tamagotchi Meets the Stations are getting updated. These Meets Stations will look identical to the Tamagotchi M!X Stations, however they will have be receiving an updated look, and of course all-new content. Some content will be Meets exclusive, and other content will remain compatible with the MIX. All Station’s will be updated on 11/10 for Meets compatibility, and the winter update is right around the corner! Now for the biggest feature of the Tamagotchi Meets, the application! Now much information is not yet available on this new application launching in November in the iOS App Store & Android Play Store. Here’s what we do know. The application will be available on both iOS and Android in November, it’ll be compatible with your smartphone and tablet. Your Tamagotchi Meets will connect to the application on your device via Bluetooth, it’ll also allow you to interact with other Tamagotchi fans’ characters to play games, exchange items, and much more. Bandai Japan also states that you do not need to own a Tamagotchi Meets to enjoy this application. These application will in fact be exclusive to Japan, much more info to come on this application as Bandai Japan releases more information. Bandai Japan hasn’t yet released all the information on the Tamagotchi Meets, more information is expected to follow before the release on November 23rd, 2018. Pricing has not yet been announced, but based on the preorders we are seeing around the internet we believe its safe to say that the pricing will be the same as the M!X. Stay tuned as more information will be rolling in real soon prior to the launch date!
  8. GameStop Lists P1 & P2 Replicas! As if we didn’t know GameStop would be carrying the P1 and P2 replicas, they have finally listed them on their website! You can grab any one of the 8 P1’s, and 8 P2’s for $19.99, just keep in mind these are not yet released until September 30th so this is essentially a preorder. Once the 30th hits, then they will start shipping and you will have your hands on these bad boys soon enough!
  9. P1 & P2 Replicas Arrive at GameStop Stores You heard that right. The Tamagotchi P1 and P2 replicas that are rumored to be released in the United States this fall are already arriving at GameStop. We received a tip from a GameStop employee that all of the P1 and P2 designs arrived this week, and are fully in stock. The MSRP is $19.99, which is what they’ll be listed for when they’re available. GameStop has a hold sale on these until September 30th. This means that starting September 30th you’ll be able to head over to a GameStop store and pick up one, or for many of us, a few. The replicas are not yet available on GameStop’s website, however they are still available on GameStop Ireland’s website; which is where they initially leaked earlier this summer. Although it’s been rumored that these devices will arrive in August and not be distributed until mid October, it looks like we’re getting them sooner than we anticipated. This is great news for Tamagotchi fans who are looking to beat the holiday rush! Which shell designs are your favorite? Comment below! *Special thanks to rainhex35
  10. We’ve been waiting to hear something about a new Tamagotchi for a few months now. Bandai tends to release new devices either in the summer or fall of every year, or lately, every other year. Well its about that time where we start seeing some leaks, and this year does NOT disappoint! We’ve got a whole bunch of leaked images and information, this is courteously of the Tamagotchi Facebook group. The original source is a suppliers flyer/magazine that features the upcoming toys for the season. First off, lets start by introducing the name… Tamagotchi Meets. The new Tamagotchi Meets looks very similar to the Tamagotchi M!X, it appears to feature the same shell shape and similar color scheme. It also appears that this version drops the cracked egg front plate design. There will also be two initial versions of the Tamagotchi Meet, similar to what we saw with the M!X which featured both the Spacy and Melody versions. The initial two versions will be a Fairy and Magical version, we’ll go into further detail below. The Tamagotchi Meet features gameplay almost identical to the Tamagotchi M!X, where you will still be able to marry and created mixed characters thanks to genetics. However, this version adds some more features which introduces a whole lot of fun! For the first time Bandai will be introducing the ability to raise twins! There is even more to get excited about, pets are BACK! There are 8 pets to choose from and you will be able to take are of them and bring them with you almost everywhere, this is very similar to previous versions, but there is more! You will now be able to not only raise your pet, but your pet can even get married and have children of its own! What’s really cool is that the M!X concept applies to pets too! So we can see a whole bunch of different types of pets! Now let’s talk characters; everyones favorite. There are a bunch of new characters featured on the Tamagotchi Meets, there are a total of 29 characters, about 18 new characters joining 11 of your favorites (welcome back, Kikitchi!). The Tamagotchi M!X Station is here to stay! You’ll be able to visit and even marry exclusive characters, buy new items, and much much more. It appears that you’ll get exclusive items from different characters that you meet on the M!X Station, which are seasonal. We’re not entirely sure if the name M!X Station will stay, or perhaps Bandai will have a new naming convention. We wouldn’t be surprised if the existing stations and newer stations will be backward compatible. We’ve saved the best for last. There will be an exclusive Tamagotchi application that we are told will be HUGE! The application will allow you to send your character from your device to the application on your smartphone or tablet through Bluetooth connectivity. On this application you can interact with any other user, so you can play with your friends who live far away. Keep in mind this application we are being told is a Japan exclusives and will be available on both Android and iOS. The Tamagotchi Meets can connect with the Tamagotchi M!X, however some functions are not available. How about accessories? Well it looks like your favorite lanyards are back! These new lanyards were introduced with the Tamagotchi M!X, and they’ll be getting a minor refresh this fall by featuring new characters and colors along with exclusive charms. Although information is limited we hope you enjoyed reading a bit about the Tamagotchi Meets that is scheduled to be released in November of 2018. We will keep you posted as new information rolls in, and we will definitely be more than happy to answer your questions. *Images and information provided by the Tamagotchi Collectors group on Facebook*

    New Tamagotchi LINE App!

LINE, a popular calling and messaging service available across several platforms have just announced a new feature, and Bandai is delivering some Tamagotchi goodness as one of their launch partners! LINE Quick Games is the new feature that allows users of the popular messaging service to enjoy games right from within the LINE app. These games within the LINE app are developed using HTML 5. There will be basic games, but in addition to puzzle games and shooting games, LINE plans to offer games utilizing LINE’s chat function. Bandai has partnered with LINE to launch a Tamagotchi game! This new Tamagotchi game will be quite simple, and definitely sets itself apart from the My Tamagotchi Forever app released earlier this year. Within the app you can raise, feed, and play games with your Tamagotchi. You will be able to marry your friends Tamagotchi’s and mate! LINE plans on launching this new feature in the summer of 2018, with 8 initial games, including this Tamagotchi game. This new feature will be available later this summer as an application update. 13. If you’ve been drooling over the images GameStop has released of the P1 & P2 replicas this week, then boy do we have some good news for you! You may recall that these devices will not be available for sale until October, but if you’re in the San Diego area you might just be in luck. If you’re attending the San Diego Comic-Con this year you will be able to purchase 2 exclusive Tamagotchi’s straight from Bandai’s booth (#3535). Bandai will be selling exclusive metallic Tamagotchi P1 & P2 replicas. These devices feature the same programing as the original P1’s and P2’s back in the 90’s. The packaging is merely identical to the packaging GameStop released, but note that the top features the “Convention Exclusive” verbiage. The P1 features a purple metallic shell, where as the P2 features a blue metallic shell. Both devices feature yellow buttons. These models are completely exclusive to the San Diego Comic-Con. Bandai will be selling them for $40 USD, and there will only be a limited number of them available each day of the convention. The San Diego Comic-Con starts on Thursday July 19th, and wraps up on Sunday July 22nd. So if you can’t wait until October to get your hands on the replicas, then we hope you’ve got tickets for the San Diego Comic-Con and a few extra dollars to get your hands on one of these! We want to hear what you think in the comments below, which shell is your favorite?
  14. GameStop Lists Tamagotchi P1 Replica Pre-Orders GameStop.com, a popular video game, and consumer electronic retailer has just recently posted the P1 replicas on their website Irish website that are going to be hitting shelves this fall. Now these devices are replicas of the original P1’s released in America back in 1997, and 1998 respectively. If you recall correctly the P1 and P2 replicas were released in Japan last year in November to wrap up the 20th anniversary celebration in Japan. However, Tamagotchi was released in America in May of 1997, so we’re still celebrating! The Tamagotchi P1 & P2’s differentiate themselves from the previously released Mini’s thanks to additional features, such as more characters, games, and of course a much welcome menu! These are replicas of your favorite original Tamagotchi back in 1997 and 1998 here in the United States. They’re much more interactive than the Mini’s, and they’re bound to a hot seller this holiday season worldwide. You may recall that a screenshot of GameStop’s inventory indicated that they would be receiving P1 & P2 replicas, in exclusive shell designs this August. Apparently, they will be arriving in GameStop’s inventory around August 15th, but they won’t be sold until approximately October 10th. This timeline actually makes a good deal of sense since the anniversary of Tamagotchi is November 23rd. Bandai is bringing the P1 and P2 replicas outside of Japan with some original shell designs from the 90’s along with some fun new ones. There are MINOR differences between these and the originals, such as the feel of the three buttons, and of course these models take the more modern CR2032 batteries you’ve come to know and love from the Tamagotchi Connection line. Here’s what the GameStop leak/pre-order has revealed: The P1 and P2 replicas will be available in October. They should be available internationally, these were leaked on the GameStop website in Ireland. They will sell for approximately €24.99, the screenshot leaked in America indicates that they will sell for approximately $20.00. The packaging and seen approve slightly mimics the original packaging from the 90’s. The designs above are confirmed as P1′s. If you’re in Ireland, then feel free to place an order for one of these replicas, note that this is considered to be a pre-order. These won’t ship until October, so you’ll be waiting a good deal of time. We will keep you updated as we hear more information from our sources. One thing is for sure, these will be a HOT seller this holiday season so be sure to get your hands on them as they arrive on shelves. We couldn’t be more excited about the upcoming P1 & P2 replicas! We want to hear what you think in the comments below!
