  1. I decided to boot up one of my dream towns for the first time in a while today. I put the batteries in, and it didn’t turn on. I switched the batteries around and it worked, but only when the battery compartment wasn’t completely closed. I tried with completely different batteries, and same thing. If I fully close the compartment it briefly shows a low battery screen then dies. Any help would be appreciated!
  2. Hi! I'm looking into getting more Tamagotchi's and I was wondering how much you guys would recommend a Dream Town. What I like in a Tamagotchi is, a lot of, games. Looking at the Dream Town, there's like, 11? But those are hard for me to find... And then I'm not sure how I feel about normal tamagotchi friends, plus I don't really want to buy another one for the BFF stuff just yet. Friends are SUPER easy to find though, I just. Think I would prefer a Dream Town... Idk. I'll figure it out I guess but I wanted y'alls input too. Ty!
  3. I try to login and it doesnt work. Neither does making an account.
  4. My tamagotchi friends and my dream town had babies together. right off the bat, the friends' adult left at least an hour before the dream town adult did. but while caring for the baby, i noticed a few things. It didn't call me when the parent left (and i would have heard it, because it was right next to me), and it also didn't call me when it got sick. has anyone else noticed this?
  5. https://mobile.twitter.com/MstrBlinky/status/859108809138110465 I haven't seen anyone else post about this so I will! How cool is this?? I tested it on my tamagotchi friends and it works fine!!! http://mrblinky.net/tama/friends/ezgotchi/ This is the actual thing, all credit goes to the amazing Mr. Blinky!
  6. Recently one morning, the Dream Town I was running showed the low-battery screen right when my Terupotchi was doing its happy animation. As I was still having breakfast, I delayed in changing the batteries. It probably stayed on the low battery screen for at least half an hour. Later when I took out the batteries, I put the same ones back just to test if the batteries really were at low power. I saw the same low-battery screen but with a few pixels out of place. I then took out the batteries and left it for a longer while, feeling that the device still retained memory over that short time span. A bit later, say a good 10 minutes, I put the same batteries in again and the device would not turn on. I then put in batteries I had used in my other Dream Town which I had deactivated a few days ago. I selected “download” and fiddled with the time for a bit since I set mines two hours off. After confirming the selections, I was taken to the egg screen instead of back to my Terupotchi. I took out the batteries and put them back in again feeling that something had gone wrong and that selecting “download” again would bring back my Terupotchi. I didn’t bother setting the correct time and thus confirmed my selection with the current date, birth date, and time of 12:00. I was still at the egg screen so I decided to check out what remained of my data. I selected the middle egg and it hatched into a boy. I was back to generation 1 instead of generation 11 and seemed to have the same amount of money, recorded characters in history and friends, text messages, and also a filled out BFF heart from bumping. Now with that background information, let’s get on to the glitching part. I was flipping through the meal items and discovered the third item – a baguette – had a sprite of Cosmotchi hanging in the upper left corner, right where the quantity would be. The exact same case occurred in the snacks menu where the third item – an orange – had a Cosmotchi hanging in the upper left corner. Feeding my tamagotchi either item would not got rid of the Cosmotchi but rather cause it to cycle through Cosmotchi’s sprite, always placed in the same location. Also, these items did not have the quantity listed next to them and so appear to have an infinite amount like the standard bread and milk. I bought a snack item and a meal item from the Music Cafe and then checked on the two glitching items, but they were still the same. I fed both items to my tamagotchi but the Cosmotchis still persisted. I checked out some of the other areas of the device (Dream School can’t be accessed till my tamagotchi is a teen), and found them to be normal. But along the way of checking out things I discovered that all my jewelry had a zero next to its sprites indicating I had none of it. I at first thought this was another glitch but after some heavy suspicions that this was a normal screen and trading jewelry with my Pianitichi, I confirmed that this was indeed a natural occurrence. So my Dream Town just lost all the jewelry I had collected but still retained the reference that I had obtained it. Now I remember reading that connecting to another Tamagotchi can fix certain glitches, so I put batteries into my deactivated Dream Town and prepared to connect the two. I decided to get right to the problem and made my glitching Dream Town give my other one a baguette and then later an orange. I expected the usual quantity of one of each and that is what my Pianitchi received. Back on my glitching Dream Town, the Cosmotchis were still present but had changed sprites after having one sent over. On my other Dream Town, the food seemed perfectly normal (although I didn’t test it). I then decided to make my Pianitchi give back the baguette. After that connection, I returned to the baguette and found that the Cosmotchi had disappeared and the number in the upper left corner was 3, the max quantity. - - - - Now I have a hypothesis about what is causing these glitches, which is also my basis for calling these “quantity glitches”. The only thing so far unusual is that the quantity of third food item in snacks and meals is replaced by a Cosmotchi. It seems to function normally outside of these different sprites. From my experience of reading about glitches found in the Gameboy games Pokemon Red and Blue, I came to a new realization about the concept we call glitches. Glitches may seem to be random, unexpected actions but actually they are incorrect data being placed in an existing formula. Often this incorrect data is data already present inside the device – whether it be a Gameboy cartridge, computer, or Tamagotchi – but is somehow put in the wrong place – usually by exploiting loopholes that cause a formula to run in a different situation. Basically what I’m saying is glitches are like putting apples inside a meat grinder: the meat grinder (device) grinds (formula operates) the apples (different information) as if they were meat (correct information), certain parts of the machine may work differently because they were not intended to grind apples (glitch byproducts), and what comes out of the machine is something different but maybe similar to ground meat (the glitch result). Now in the case of these out of place Cosmotchi sprites, I believe they correspond to some amount beyond the usual numbers that would normally be displayed. That is why the sprites appear in the exact place that the normal numbers would be placed in. When I fed my tamagotchi either of the glitched food items, the quantity went down and thus the sprite changed to what was a lower number. Cosmotchi may stand for a certain range of numbers and the rest of his sprites may correspond to various numbers within that range. I only say that because I feel the number goes down, but visually all I see is the sprites cycling. The Pokemon Red and Blue equivalent glitch had a quantity in a certain range represented by a tile, but I don’t think that tile changed till a certain amount had been added/removed. Thus it is possible the numbers were not depleting or partially depleting but being filled up again. When I gave back a baguette from my non-glitched Dream Town, the number of baguettes on my glitched one changed to the max amount of three. I suspect that the act of adding another of the same item to the glitched amount may have caused the amount to go beyond the range indicated by Cosmotchi, and thus defaulted to the max amount. I remember a similar occurrence happening in Pokemon Blue where I caught a level 198 Squirtle (by the Old Man glitch) and once it gained experience, it levels revert back to max level of 100 (and also evolved twice into a Wartortle and then Blastoise). I’m not sure why only the third item is affected by the Cosmotchi sprites, but this may indicate that the third item is somehow different from the rest. Another thing that complicates this is that the order of items depends on which ones have been collected, as they are automatically sorted (and not alphabetically). One thing I can guess at is that because the third snack item and the third meal item are both exclusively affected by the Cosmotchi sprites, they are somehow related to each other.
  7. I've been a lurker hear for quite awhile (likely will continue to because there is allot to read), but I've decided to finally make an account because of a peculiarity with my Tamagotchi Dream Town Friends. I was actually going to post also about the strange background on one of my Dream Towns, but I then discovered it correlated to Easter (the egg with a heart was a dead giveaway, but I was certain Easter was always in April...). So I have a Dream Town friend I bought new off Amazon.ca and another Dream Town I am currently running that I got in a used lot of three (rather funny story about this, considering I practically got them for free!). As far as I know they are both from Canada since I bought them from Canadian sellers (with Canadian dollars, if that's relevant). On the Dream Town I bought from Amazon, the Music Cafe offer 8 purchasing options for meals (of which the meat pie remains consistent) and 6 for snacks. But on the Dream Town I got in the lot of three, there are only 5 for meals and 5 for snacks. The limit on my used Dream Town has been a minor irritant, but it's strange enough that I wondered why. My Amazon Dream Town has been connected to the online Dream Town game, but I haven't connected my used one because it isn't necessary (and the website keeps deleting my username, for no apparent reason). Additionally, I think all three of my used Dream Towns had a serial number printed above the "C E" on the back in gold letters but my Amazon Dream Town did not. I can't confirm this as my used Dream Town came covered thickly in marker which I removed with hand sanitizer, effacing it along with the marker, and my Amazon Dream Town shows slight signs of wear, although I do not handle it much anymore. So, to summarize, does anyone know why one Dream Town has more purchasing options than the other? Edit: Typo

  9. Hello!! I've been enjoying my new Tamagotchi Friends: Dream Town, but I have one big question - what determines their growth? I've seen charts online for Tamagotchi Friends, but none for its Dream Town variant (which seems to follow a different system because of the Dream School function). For example, I've seen a Tamagotchi Friends chart that described Himespetchi as good (not perfect) care only. But, by taking my perfect care teenager to the "robots class," she evolved into Himespetchi! So clearly there are some differences. Can anyone run them by me? Thanks! (Also, does someone have a complete list of all the tamagotchis I can acquire? )
  10. Heeeeeeeey guys! So, I'm starting up installment number 5 of my log! Hopefully I'll actually... y'know... USE it. Heh heh heh. When you're done reading mine, check out my friend Prue's Tama log! Anyway, I recently got my hands on the new Tamagotchi Friends: Dream Town, so I figured I'd run it, along with my v6 and v4 who both have babies and are due to leave them soon. For now, It'll just be the TF:DT. I've decided that it's color shall be this vibrant shade of purple/pink, because it is the Kira Kira gem When my other tamas join the log, my v4 will be red and my v6 will be blue. Certainly a change from my last logs, if you've read them Anyway, I just recently started up the TF:DT, and out of the heart egg came a cute widdle Pinkbotchi! I've decided to name her Yume, because it's Japanese for "dream" #creativity Me: Hi there Yume! Yume: Ugaaaaaah! Me: Oh, right... baby stages. Yume: HUNGYYYYYYYYY Me: Aaaaaaaaah SO NEEDY Yume: zZzZzZ Me: ...what So I bought a starry charm necklace. I have no idea what I'm dong. 11. My tamagotchi Friends Dream Town arrived today! How amazing! So I know the basics from my v3 s but... I'm a bit clueless, I did a lot of research before getting one, yet I am not sure how to get them to school if they're even able to attend school? Or get them to do anything? I'm proud enough to say that I figured out how to change the contrast. So a quick Summed up explanation of this would be great if anyone knows much about them
  12. I have two Dream Towns with adult characters on them. They have full BFF hearts, but haven't gotten married yet. I was assuming that since they kissed after dates (Mametchi's kissing animation lol) they could marry, but online I've only heard about using the date place. Can the Dream Towns actually marry? How?
  13. Just like any other war! I know that Tamatown is gone, but if it were still alive which would you prefer? For Dream Town: go up. For Tamatown, go down. Starting from 100, if we get to 200 Dream Town wins, if we reach 0 Tamatown wins. I'll start: 101

  15. Hi guys, I wrote a post and then accidentally backed up and deleted it by accident, so I'm just going to make this super short ahaha. Is the only way to get food/items/jewellery without bumping by using the codes on Tamagotchi Dream Town? (http://uk.tamagotchifriends.com/dreamtown/) Or is there some other way for me to get free goodies and stuff? Thank you.
  16. Hey this seems like a dumb question but I just got back into tamagotchi and I was wondering on average how often do children evolve into teens. On the tamagotchi dream town device? Its been 3 days and my child tamagotchi hasn't evolved into a teen.... ;-; Sorry if this seems really stupid.
  17. I beat Dream Town today... it feels weird without the little task bar telling me what to do next... and how do I get and more tickets!? I guess I'll have to start a new game.
  18. Hello ! I've had my tfdt for 3 days now, and I have a few questions I was wondering if anyone had answers to? Thank you in advance !! 1) Is there any real significance to the online dream town? I've played through all the quests and finished the game. But even when I exchange 5 tickets for a code, I just get food or jewelry (I can buy from the tamamori shop). Is there any point to it? 2) How do I unlock the date place? My tamagotchi's an adult (Spacytchi) and he's 10 years old, but date place still isn't unlocked for me when I go to the door menu. Thank you again !!
  19. I bought a Tamagotchi Friends last night, and I was wondering how connecting it to the PC is supposed to work; can I earn money by playing on the PC? Also, can I buy items from the PC and have them transferred to my device? Any comments/suggestions will be much appreciated P.S. Do the tamagotchis on tamagotchi friends sleep? My egg hatched last night at 10 pm and the baby was still awake at 11 pm
  20. I am saving up to get the 4U+ when it comes out, but I just noticed that currently the Dream Town is super cheap on EBay. Should I go ahead and get one? My main concern is the size of it- that I wouldn't be able to take it to work with me, or out on a daily basis. How many of you on here have a Dream Town? What are some of the pros and cons of it that I need to be aware of?
  21. On Saturday I was able to find Tamagotchi Friends: Dream Town toys at a local Hot Topic. ♥ It was a lot of fun to bring them home and turn them on! I have two so that I can use the "bump" feature, as I don't regularly see anyone else who has these devices. I have not read any guides and am not seeking particular evolutions. I just want to see how my normal inclination to interact with these will impact the future adult characters. I really wanted the Pink Lace Gem design, but the store I was at did not have that one. The other Hot Topic locations were not close enough to make calling around a reasonable response; I settled on what was available. I liked the Green Leopard Gem (although, personally, I think it is blue...) and Kira Kira Gem out of the options available. ♥ I wasn't paying much attention when I purchased these, so I didn't notice they don't include batteries. I was lucky to be visiting family members who were okay with giving me some batteries. I know I didn't have any at home. Both hatched as girls: Pinkbotchi~ ♥ I switched off between the two, playing games and picking food, and I thought I was treating them differently... but they both evolved into Petithanatchi! I'm looking forward to seeing how they change when the Dream School classes are available! ♥ Right now they're quietly sleeping, on pause. Thank goodness for the pause feature; I can't watch them all day.
  22. Hi! Yumecantchi000 here! My friend has a Tamagotchi Friends Dream Town, and I have a original Tamagotchi Friends. (It is a North-american version. If you want you can wiki Tamagotchi Friends and see.) I want to connect them together and I would like to know if they can connect. Thanks!
