So, for years now, my Tamagotchi Connection V4 doesn't really ever turn on.. Once I put in the battery, the egg appears on the screen and it works normally for about 10-15 seconds or so.. it then shows one or two horizontal lines on the screen and it shuts off. If I press the reset button, it will show the egg all over again, but it's a matter of time for the same thing to happen.. I believe it's not a battery problem, because it turns on with the reset button without moving or changing the battery (also, the same battery works on my V4.5 just fine). Lastly, I recently opened it up and cleaned everything inside, even the buttons, but it still won't work. Please, anyone who may know something or having experience on that matter, let me know on what to do! I feel very nostalgic lately, and I really want to bring my "dead" Tamagotchis back to life, starting from this one. Thank you all in advance!

Well hearing from this site and many others I have noticed that people are saying that there is MANY and I mean MANY problems with these bootlegs (Sudden resets after impact, suddenly breaks, batteries die quick and many other problems) Well this topic should cover the problems and how to fix them.(As soon as mine comes in the mail i'll be able to add more) First thing you should do is change the batteries as soon as you get it because since this thing is cheap (Not garbage) the batteries might also be cheap also and make sure to put it in right.Another thing is that if you don't want to accidently reset then you could possibly put tape (Not electric) or any NON-CONDUCTIVE MATERIAL to prevent accidently pushing that button. To (Possibly) fix the sudden resets you should put a chunk of eraser to prevent the battery from moving around (Got the idea off a teardown). When the device breaks or is already broken (If you want to) try taking it apart and see what might of got broken or (If they have a return policy) you could return it and get a new one. well that's all i have sadly until I get my own but until then see ya

So I apparently left some old batteries in my Tamagotchi Friends and they leaked. I cleaned out the corrosion as best I could with vinegar but it still won't turn on with new batteries. Is this a hopeless cause? or are there any tricks to getting my Tama to work again?

Hello again! I have a Tamagotchi that just recently lost it's sound due to one of the wires detaching. I'm trying to open the cover to get to the circuit board, but it appears one of the screws is stuck, because it will not budge from it's spot. It isn't stripped, and I use a cheap screwdriver that is used to fix eyeglasses (the screwdriver itself is as small as my index finger). Do I need a new screwdriver, or is my tamagotchi out of luck? Thank you in advance.

So my TMGC friends ran out of batteries today and when I replaced them I got the money glitch. I was wondering if there was a way to fix this? Call me crazy, it's pretty awesome to have so many points but I think part of the fun is working to build up points and buy things, especially since building up the jewellery collection is a main part of this tama.

Hey there everyone, I have some vpets that I have plans on fixing - mostly just wires loose and what not. I had thought about getting a soldering set, but I found out about wire glue. Has anyone tried wire glue before? I watched some videos on people using it and it doesn't seem terrible, but I was curious if anyone else has tried it and seen how it does. It seems like it would be fine. This is the stuff I am talking about if anyone else was curious. -Purn

So I mentioned this in another topic, but I found my oldest Tamagotchi in my house (With Mimitchi, and the plant thing, I think it's P2 or whatever people call it.) the sound isn't working on it, and I don't think the sound was working the last time I played with it over a decade ago either so I checked through the topics and found somebody with the same problem the replies basically said, and I'm paraphrasing here. "Open it up and see if one of the wires is unattached, then use a soldering iron to stick it back in place." So I opened mine up, and indeed one of the wires is unattached to the bottom half of the Tamagotchi, when I closed it back up the sound started working again, so I guess it went into the right place, but I want to make sure I put it back into the right place so this doesn't happen again. So anyways I want to know before trying it, is there a certain place to solder the wire to? I don't want to ruin my Tamagotchi forever, so does anybody have any experience with this? thanks a lot for any help!
