  1. As fellow TamaTalkers might have heard, Nintendo will be releasing a minor revision of the Switch at the end of September, known as the Switch Lite. The Switch Lite is not dockable and will be handheld-mode only, and has been created in response to just how many people play in handheld-mode on the existing model, though it can also be paired with external wireless controllers as well if need be. It'll be launching in grey, turquoise, and yellow, and there'll also be a limited-edition design based around the Pokemon Sword & Shield legendaries, Zacian and Zamazenta. I pretty much exclusively play my Switch in handheld-mode, so moving over to a Switch Lite makes good sense for me, and I plan on picking up a yellow one. Will anybody else be doing the same? If so, which colour will you be picking up, or are you hoping to see a particular look offered before you go for it?
  2. I've noticed lately that a number of TamaTalk regulars are fans of the Kirby series, myself included (heck, my favourite nostalgic Tamagotchi moment is directly linked to the Kirby series!), so I figured that I'd make a thread for us to chat about this wonderful series from HAL Laboratory and Nintendo. It's been almost 18 months since the last mainline game, which was Kirby Star Allies for the Nintendo Switch (one of my favourite entries in the series, and also one of my favourite 2D platformers of all time from any series - and I've played rather a lot of those, so that's high praise), so it feels to me like we're due for a new side-game sometime soon. I'm really looking forward to seeing what we'll get next, since the Kirby side-games are usually interesting. Personally, I'd love to see a new Kirby pinball game, as there hasn't been one in years, and I'm quite fond of pinball.
  3. If anyone here who plays Nintendogs+Cats?Maybe we can have a small chit-chat about it! My dog's name is Goldie and she's a Golden Retriever! Also,I'm a bit poor (;-
  4. I'm interested in getting a vintage Pocket Hello Kitty but I'm having trouble finding any english instructions. Searching isn't turning up any results. Anybody know about these or know where to find instructions in english? Thanks

    Frog Suit Mallow

I managed to get my scanner to work so this time I didn't have to take a picture of a picture! For those who don't get it, allow me to explain, though it'll contain minor spoilers. Mallow is a character from the SNES game Super Mario RPG. Separated from his parents as a baby, he was raised by frogs and so grew up believing he was a frog. Eventually he learns he's not really a frog (which is pretty obvious since he looks nothing like one, he can't jump for beans, and he's able to control the weather) and he travels alongside Mario to find his real parents. Since Mallow once believed he was a frog I figured why not stick him in the old Frog Suit from Super Mario Bros. 3? I was actually surprised to see no one had done this before.

© Mallow belongs to Nintendo and Square-Enix. The Frog Suit belongs to Nintendo.

  6. Okay, so if you couldn't tell by my avatar, I obviously like this game series. I was just curious on who else likes it? What is your favorite game? I really like Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess. I'm currently saving up for a Nintendo 64 and/or a 3DS to play OoT, and I already have TP for the wii. So, feel free to reply, I doubt anyone will, haha! Goodbye friends, I am gone. (:
  7. Fooey, the Animal Crossing topics are ANCIENT and closed. So I'm making a new one! How much have you progressed in the Animal Crossing games? My house in Wild World is at the BIGGEST SIZE possible and I have donated every fossil to the museum! I also caught rare fish such as the hammerhead shark. I haven't played it in a while so I suspect my town is full of weeds... oh well. Oh, by the way, I got such high scores from the HRA that they sent me special items like a two-story model. I also once shot down a UFO, found all the pieces of the alien's spaceship, and got an alien artifact. So...what is your town like? ~ EMF
  8. Many of you people probably also saw my earlier rant on 3DS. Well, this is a continuation of that rant, only a little more spread out. Does anyone here agree with me that Nintendo is digging their own grave? I personally think this has been happening for a couple years now. First off, just look at the wii games they've been releasing recently: Mario Party 9 Rhythm Heaven Fever PokePark 2: Wonders Beyond Notice how all of them are sequels to games that were all unpopular (Minus Mario Party, although 8 was definitely disliked). It's like, seriously? Mario Party got old a long time ago, the first three were fun, four was eh, five was eh, six and seven were fun for a while, and 8 was just an absolute wreck with the creepy mascot dude. Rhythm Heaven DS was the worst, most pointless game I ever played and I ARed it so I could have all the games. I think the wii version would just be painful. PokePark just looks like a game meant to appeal to the 7 year old boys who watch Pokemon on Saturday mornings. I'm disappointed by the fact Nintendo can no longer come up with games that are original, and different. It's just all sequels, everything. Name a game they made for the gamecube (Or any Nintendo console) with the word Mario before it, and there is probably a sequel for it. They have a sequel for Mario Tennis in the works, and although I enjoyed Mario Power Tennis, it got boring quickly after I completed the main game. Nintendo needs to hurry up and come up with some more games, ones that aren't sequels (I am actually okay with sequels, but they need to actually be entertaining enough to last long enough for me to want to play them), and maybe ones that could appeal to older audiences more, well, at least for the 3DS. I can bet more older kids own the 3ds consoles than kids, just because I doubt parents would buy their little kids something so expensive and breakable (They'd be more likely to buy their kids wiis). Even Pokemon, a franchise you can always count on to provide you with great games, is starting to fall apart. Just look at Pokemon Black and White 2.. The two mascots are just colored Kyurems and that's about it. The title is also the most unoriginal name I have heard, I personally would've liked Pokemon Gray better. And then as I mentioned in my previous rant, all I seem to see these days are B&W Pokemon. It's like Nintendo has abandoned all the previous generation pokemon minus pikachu, since pikachu is like the symbol of pokemon. Just look at Pokedex 3D. No not Unova pokemon to be seen anywhere. And, the 3DS. Well, I already ranted about that over in my other topic which is in this section. But seriously, the only thing going for the 3DS is the 3D. The internet browser stinks and doesn't even have flash. It can't even load TamaTalk for me. Even StreetPass fails to work, I was at the mall today, and I saw a boy playing with his 3DS. I walked by him like three times, and did not get a streetpass tag even though it was enabled and everything. Nintendo, please step your act up. Stop making sucky sequels, if you're going to make sequels at all, at least make them fun. Also try to work harder on making your handheld consoles more workable. And try to make an effort to keep your fans, because otherwise even hardcore Nintendo fans like me will end up converting to Sony or Microsoft fans.

    3DS....

As much as I love my 3ds, am I the only person who's slightly disappointed by it? First off, there is like no games out whatsoever right now worth playing. You would think Nintendo would at least make some original, good 3ds games. But the only cool game they made so far is Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land is just a fancy remake of every other regular Mario game out there, and Nintendogs + Cats (I don't own it, but I played the original Nintendogs) gets boring quickly. The upcoming Kid Icarus thing looks cool, but I dunno. Third party developers have made some good games (i.e: Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3), but there aren't enough good games out there to keep me occupied. Which is why I only own Mario Kart 7 despite having owned my 3DS for two months now. And then the downloadable games from the eShop. There is mostly DSi ware, not 3DS exclusive stuff. I suppose the reason being for that is because making DSi games is more profitable, since DSi owners can buy the ware as well as 3DS owners, but there's like only 10 3D games out so far, and only three 3ds downloadable applications, two of which suck (One is Netflix, and I don't own Netflix, so I can't use it). These would be Nintendo Video, and PokeDex 3D. Nintendo Video seldom gives you good videos (i.e: I got a John Deere video, I dunno why I'd want to watch a video about tractors...), and PokeDex 3D only allows you to look at and collect pokemon from Unova, which is stupid. What happened to pokemon from Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh? Again, another smartphone thing. There was a PokeDex application for the smartphone, and it has all the pokemon for those regions. Once again, I question about the people who don't own smartphones (Like me) and the people who can't afford apps and/or aren't allowed to get them. About the games, sure, it hasn't been too long since the 3DS came out, but I think it's been nearly a year now, since the original Japanese release was February 26th, and the NA release was like March 27th. The internet browser is also sort of disappointing. The lack of flash on the browser is kind of sad, especially since that means you can't get on youtube or any other sites. I read somewhere this is because Nintendo figures you can just use your smartphone to get on youtube and other mostly (if not all) flash sites, but then for the people who don't have smartphones, or can't afford data fees... Well.. Yeah. Plus, all the streetpass things, as cool as they are, unless you go to a gaming convention or to a store where there's 3ds's, I doubt you can get very many (if any) tags. I've carried my 3DS while walking around Seattle, and while walking around a mall, and the only streetpass tags I've gotten are from the 3DS demo display thing from Gamestop. Anyway, I'm going to stop my whining now. I do apologize in advance to any 3DS owners who read this and then get rage faces. By the way, I'm a Nintendo person, so if I sound like some person trying to make Sony or Microsoft sound better, then idk.
  10. I need a Shiny Jigglypuff for Pokémon White. I would prefer it to be French. You can tell if a Jigglypuff is French if they're names are "Rondoudou". Pokémon to give: Shiny Jigglypuff (Non-French): Level 100 Feraligatr French Shiny Jigglypuff: Level 100 Shiny Bonsly
