Help! New V4!

Ok, I just got a V4, I know how to play it, but there is only one question I'm not sure about.

When you get your readings from the mailbox, what does the money bag mean? I had from 3 stars for it to 1 star. How do I earn more stars for the heart, strenght, and money bag?

As far as I can tell, they are completely random. However, they do indicate some things:

5 stars or less total - your Tamagotchi will be less lucky (supposedly more bad presents than good from king, etc.) Also, your Tamagotchi will fall periodically on the screen.

6 or more total - your Tamagotchi will be generally more lucky and will jump and smile on the screen periodically.

3 money - if you win a game (all the way to the fanfare ending) you will get 500 pts rather than the usual 400

3 hearts - you'll be more likely to go up a notch on your connections with friends (one more smily face, or love)

3 muscle man - you only gain 1 pound per snack rather than 2
