I have a gen 1 tamagotchi (the 1997 one) It says on the directions that it usually doesn't live past 23 years old, but mine is 28 and still a teenager. Is there something wrong?

Little did you noticed you just answered your own question.

It doesn't usually live past 23 years old.
It means it not usually common. So good job for you.

Hmm.. I can't answer the teenager part..

if you have been putting your tama to sleep and letting it wake up so it still grows but is asleep for school or things you are doing the age gets larger everytime it akes up.
