Japanese Tamagotchi Connectability

Do you have a Japanese Tamagotchi but unsure where you can connect it to? Look no further! Here is my guide so just scroll down to whatever version you own.

If Tamagotchi have limited connectability (that is, can't do everything) while connecting I'll write down that too. But I will only write down what it CAN connect to, I won't write down what it can't connect to.

While some of the Tamagotchi pets do not say if they can connect to more recent versions, they can. This is how:

~Connecting a Version 2 to a Version 3 or 4

On the connecting options for the V2, select "Version 1"

On the connecting options for the V3 or V4, select "Other".

~Connection Versions 2, 3, and 4 to the Keitai/Akai series Tamagotchi's:

On the Version 2, select "Version 1". On V3 and V4, select "Other"

On the Keitai/Akai select "Tamagotchi Plus" (symbolized with a + next to Japanese text).

You are also wrong "dancinkayley" older versions will sometimes give a newer version something useable randomly and vice-versa, i.e a V3 might give a V4 a soccer ball, or a V2 might give a V1 a skateboard, this is a random thing but it does happen.

Thanks! I tryed to connect to my DVD player but it didn't work. It had IR though...

I got it from the official Japanese Tamagotchi site, they have a chart saying what each Tamagotchi can connnect to.
