My tamagotchi's depressed...

Well, tonight I just got a new Tamagotchi Connection V.2, and it's depressed. It's on the screen, crying. I've played with it, bought it all the treats in the shop, got my friends to connect with it, and praised it. I've also tried to bring it's weight down as much as possible. Recently, it just changed into a star-type thing and went to sleep, since it is 1:00 in the morning. I have no idea if it'll still be depressed in the morning though. Is there something on the Connection V.2 that will effect it's happiness that I should know about? Thanks for any/all help! ^_^

Was it still crying after you'd praised it and when it was a star?
