My friends tama is an old timer the girl matchmaker character. When she was an adult she worked at a school. When you select work she goes up witha walking stick and then scrolls thru all the jobs until she gets to school then she stops turns around and exits. WHAT???

I have not got an old tama yet so when I get one I'll see if it will happen to mine. ;)

U know how that old tama guy always shows you all the jobs?? Maybe it's new job is to show young tamas their jobs!! (Just an idea)

 
I remember reading on either the Tamagotchi Wikia or Wikipedia that once a Tamagotchi is an oldie, it's given a walking stick symbolising retirement. Perhaps your Tamagotchi just took a stroll to see where it last worked and then went back home.

 
as your tama is a oldie, it will actually retire. :D as this happened to your tama. it got a cane.
