I'm sorry if the answer to this is obvious, but with my v5.5 on second generation, when I mated my first generation parents through the matchmaker, all three parents left and I was left with one egg. Huh? Aren't there supposed to be THREE eggs?

 
Only on first generation you will always get three eggs. From second generation you can randomly get one, two, or three eggs.
