The matchmaker will come 72 hours after your Tamagotchi evolved into an adult. Pausing will affect this time.

Same thing happened on my V4!
If it is a V4 set the time to 7:00AM and wait one minute. Nazotchi (
) will appear and deliver a fortune cookie (star) to you. When it goes to a heart and then stars make sure it is three stars and then set it to a minute before the matchmaker time and wait till it appears!

Wait until it's 7 years old. It's uncommon for the matchmaker to come at 6 years, unless it's an hour or two before it becomes 7.
