The Girl Named Roxine

Recommended Posts

This was partially inspired from Cassie by Flyleaf. Listen to that song, it's lovely.

Warning: This song is mostly about abuse

------------------------------------------

I used to know a girl named Roxine

Oh yes, what a beauty

Her hair composed of silk

And eyes made of crystal

They shined so bright

Full of love and light

Such a shame they turned to white

And she bleeds

On the floor

As they watch and wait

For her end to come

The words they wrap around her

The insults start to kill her

And you won’t do a thing

Cause then you’ll become their next victim

Yes, you say you love her

So please hurry up and save her

But why am I asking you

When you’re the one who broke her

I know a boy named Matthew

Oh my, how so handsome

His heart made of stone

And mind filled with death and hate

I think he once was kind

But I’m not so sure now

What a horrible fate

And he screams

Till she dies

When he takes a pause

Suddenly it’s free bait

The words they wrap around her

The insults start to kill her

And you won’t do a thing

Cause then you’ll become their next victim

Yes, you say you love her

So please hurry up and save her

But why am I asking you

When you’re the one who broke her

May she rest in peace?

May he burn in hell?

I hope she is reborn

I hope he’s condemned to pain

I wish for her to stay.

I wish for his days to end.

I knew a girl named Roxine

Oh yes, what a beauty

I knew a boy named Matthew

Oh my, how so handsome

Don’t let it come to this

Get help quick.

This is a great song! Is it a proper song with a rhythm, or is it a partially-rhyming poem?

This is popprincess83 under a new username.

I didn't really think of rhyming when writing this. I just wrote what was coming. There's some rhyming here but it wasn't exactly done on purpose.

I'm glad you like it. I'm very proud of this one.
