I used the age cheat on mine, and it didn't get dating place till age 11. Just wait for a while...

The age trick has no effect on the date place. Your tama has to be an adult for the amount of hours 6 days is (I think that's 144 hours, correct me if I'm wrong) and the trick doesn't matter.

I think you set the time a lot. Sometimes, even if it reaches age 6, it will still not have the option. You need to wait a little more. 
Edit: Age 6 is still required to marry.
Example: The adult tamagotchi was an adult for more that 48 hours, but the age is still 4 because of the time switching. Result: Can't go to the Date Place.
