I need a refresh on V 4.5.

Hello everybody! My friend's got me back into Tamagotchis at least temporarily and I forgot nearly everything about the V 4.5 after being away from it for so long. Some of it's coming back but I'm gonna need a refresher on how it works. I have a few questions I'd like answered.

-I know there is the point system where having more points in one of the "skills" determines what Tamagotchi it will grow into as an adult. Which points mean what (looks like we've got a smiley face, a sparkle and a fist) and which Tamagotchis would it develop into if it had a strong point in one of the areas? A chart would be helpful.

-Do the 4.5's connect with the V 5's? My friend has got both her V 4.5 and her V 5 running, and since I don't have another battery to power my V 5, I can't find this out myself.

-Is there a reference guide on here that has other information I might have missed or can answer and future questions? I haven't been here in around three years, and it looks like the site's changed an awful lot.

The smiley face is humor, the sparkle is beauty, and the fist is spiritual. Here is the v4.5 male character growth chart and here is the female chart.

I don't think V4.5s can connect with V5s.

The Family series (all V5s, including V5.5s, from all regions) can't connect with older Connections. When in doubt, there's always the Ultimate Connecting Guide in the Tips and Tricks section.

As far as the reference guides go, not sure what you're looking for specifically, but there is a search bar at the top you can use (just go to a specific help forum, like Tips and Tricks, then type in something like "Tamagotchi V4.5" in the search bar and it will search that specific forum for you) and though the site has changed somewhat since you've been here, there's still the Tips and Tricks and Reference sections that may be helpful to you. Here are a couple of pages, based on a quick search:
