I need help with the Generation One Digivice

My boyfriend and I were cleaning out his closet when we found his old Digivice in a shoebox! We're really excited about it but the poor thing didn't have batteries (which might actually have been a great thing), the screw holding on the backing was stripped, and the backing itself was cracked and falling off. We removed the broken backing and the screw and I cleaned it up, everything looks find and dandy, the screen is perfect, so I just wanted to know:

What size batteries do you use for the Digivice?

Can you buy replacement screws that tiny?

And do any of you know if I can get replacement parts from broken virtual pets?

A Brick Digivice or like one in the show? and what season... 1?

The Early ones took LR44. (Brick/Season 1)

Season 2 had ones that took LR44 OR CR2032 (I have two different versions)

Season 3 took AAA, So did Season 4.

Season 5 took CR2032

Figure the Season 6 took one of the few.... Covering bases....

I think people get replacement screws in Glasses repair kits. About the Broken parts... I would look for a non-working one online. (Good luck not spending a fortune still...) You could *Try* to email Bandai America and ask them if (By godly chance) they had some in the warehouse or in storage. Chances are slim, but some people have gotten replacement parts for other pets. You might email Bandai Japan too if Bandai America fails.... Bandai Japan is still making Digimon Digivices...... Newer types, but you never know.

I'm such I dork I completely forgot about the brick looking ones, I called it a season/generation one because it was the first one with Tai and TK and all them, the little almost square one, looks like this with the help of google. Should of googled it last night now that I think about it.

I spent about four hours on eBay last night looking for replacement parts x_X I'm surprised that I didn't even find a broken one, or even just a lot of broken v-pets or something like it, there were a lot of those types of Digivice's but they were working and really expensive (obviously) but at least before I devote myself to finding the parts we can get the batteries and make sure that it's working

I freaked out when I saw the newer ones and a perfect, in box, new transparent green season 2 one on eBay last night that was the exact one I had when I was little but it was, obviously, so expensive D:

I have my Season 2s. I hold those near and dear since I don't have a Season 1 at all. (Boo me, I should have taken my Cousins.... I think it was a green or orange....Think he tossed it out. BOO HIM.) So a V2 of a Season 2... I got it just so I could have a purple one with wormmon. They had a v3 of the season 2 ones too. (Double Colors for DNA Digivolve) I would OOZE of happiness to have even a broken Season 1 anymore.

Yup, thats the one thing about ebay. Crazy prices for most of the digivices. Every once in a while you'll find a keeper.

I have the same sort of issue - I have 2 V2 brick digivices, but one is missing the back. What I think I'm going to do is use silicone to make a mould of the back of the one I have, then cast it in resin. It'll create a perfect duplicate. You should be able to get tiny specialist screws off ebay

Not to detract from this forum, but there is a digimon forum that I have been poking around a bit lately here. The merchandise area is where I've been asking questions and things lately - maybe you could ask about spare parts there? I know of another one that I haven't been able to get into - I think their signups are a little wonky, but there are good info pages and things here.

I like TT here, but they don't have a great amount of info on DigiMon pets :<
