Question about Username and Password

I noticed when I went on the v4.5 Tamatown (using the open tab for previous versions) that it wants a username and password that are from the Tamagotchi itself.

My first Tamagotchi ever (v4.5) will be arriving soon.

When I start up the Tamagotchi, will it ask me to create those two things?

Sorry if this is a silly question, I just want to make sure I don't have to register online or something first.

The tamagotchi, when you first activate it, will ask you to input the username you would like to use when you log onto tamatown. On the tamagotchi itself, you go to the connection icon (heart) and pick PC, which will then give you a password to log onto tamatown :D Have fun!!

 
This might sound silly, but does your Tama have to be awake in order to do this?

Just realized lastnight that yes, it does. I just tried doing what you said earlier and its not recognizing the password it gave me or my username I put in the tamagotchi. I do have a Tama-Go so does that make any difference?
