Does it look like the Tama's spitting at the left hand side of the screen?
If so, that's Yawning. They do it just before they need to go to bed and sometimes, in the morning not long after they have woken up.

it yawns 30 minutes before it goes to bed, but you can just turn out the lights and it will go to bed then. However, if it yawns in the morning, nothing happes if you turn off the lights.
