Hello, new here, hope this is the right forum to post in. (Sorry if it's not.) Just have a few questions.

In regards to the Dinkie Dino and Yuki Penguin, are they pretty much exactly the same? Are they hard to care for? Can they be 'paused?'

Also, the Hitorikko which comes with different characters. I remember many years ago having the fish, but I think i ended up selling it. I sorta miss it, and then noticed they have the same shape as Dinkies. Are Hitorikkos nothing more than Dinkie knock offs with different characters? If so, do they use the same programming and are they easier or harder to care for than their true counterparts?

Looking for something that's not too demanding and doesn't die a lot or easily if possible.

Thanks!

Not sure if you've had a chance to check out these pages from Mothra's VP site tamenagerie.com

They're pretty much the same with a few differences as far as I can tell - but I've never played them - only giga pets (and I prefer tamas over gigas).

Sorry it's not a huge help but it might get you started.

It helps a little. :) Mostly want to know how demanding of a pet they are, though, since I have a job while going to college, so I'm looking for pets that aren't too demanding or don't die easily (if at all). I had a DD years ago but I don't remember how hard or easy it was to care for.

I see a lot were listed on Ebay recently and I debate trying to snatch one. (Or if it's even worth it.)

Dinkies are kind of demanding but not too bad. I think the dino is less demanding than the Yuki.

Hitrorrikos are pretty darn hardy. The hitorrikos are cheaply made and have cheaper animations but run on the same idea as the dinkie programming.

I did a review of the Yuki penguin:

Maybe they might help?

Ooo that helps a lot. I think maybe then I'll look around for a Hitorikko the most if I end up wanting to get one since you say they're hardy. I honestly miss my fish. :( I had one before that was in a different shell, it was a see-through green/yellow. Maybe a fake of a fake? Lol, fake-ception.

I think the yellow/green see through one would be a DNA fish like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Gigapet-Nanopet-Giga-Nano-Pet-Pocket-Bass-Fish-Fishing-Tamagotchi-New-/180873498798?pt=Electronic_Battery_Windup_Toys_US&hash=item2a1ce690ae which is different from a hitorriko or dinkie.

I thought so as well, but I swear mine was a Hitorikko and it was green/yellow. It had that same little tadpole looking pet in a Dinkie shell. Sadly it's been at least a decade since I got rid of it or lost it or whatever. I think I sold it.
