You cannot revive dead Tamagotchis, however you can press both A and C buttons at the same time to hatch a new egg without having to reset.

You get to keep all the stuff you've got so far, but you'll start over from 1st generation.

Some people on TamaTalk were experimenting if Tamagotchis don't die if you reset it. For future reference, quickly reset the Tamagotchi when it's about to die. It may work or it may not.
