its me alison101 typing at ryta.k2s house . we both tryed to debug my tama conneXion . the wires never snapped and we rubbed out all the scratching but when we put the battery back in it never made a sound and the screen went off . has this happened to anyone else. ;) would this be able to be fixed?

Have you pressed reset? Sometimes you have to do that to make it "wake up" again. Other than that I don't know, sorry =(

I hope you were using a pencil? You didn't actually scratch off the metal on the debug spot?

So is it completely dead now?

Debugging is a gentle thing. ;)

Wait, you debugged a CONNEXION??!?!?!??!?! How in the world is that possible????????

I tryed to debug my v1 but there was know where that said to debug so i scrated around a bit and the funniest things happened

I debugged my V1 connection and I didn't have any problems...it's really not as bad as you think, as long as you do it right (and as Mothra said, gently)

Debugging is a gentle thing.
look we used a pencil and there is a german site that shows u how to debug coneXion and in alisons tama there wasnt even a debug so we ssratched over J1 gently... and we put the battery in and everything was fine but it wasnt debugged so we tried on other places and we never scratched the metal off or anything!

so this is just freaky!

If someone wants to debug you shouldn't really tell them not too. It's their choice regardless of what it does to the tama. It's up to them if they want to do it or not =)

And yes there is a german site about it, it's in one of the other threads here: https://www.tamatalk.com/IB/index.php?showtopic=6712

The J1 bit you say about was also in another thread I think. It was about making a connection into a connexion. Here it is: https://www.tamatalk.com/IB/index.php?showtopic=7428

Hope it helps. =)
