I looked at some of the families you can get for this tamagotchi version, and I noticed that there was a pet that was part of the family.

How exactly can you get the pet?

 
You can't exactly get the pet per se. When you have the Mame, Meme, and Kuchi family types, it'll just sort of appear. The pet will show up for random animation and a Family animation when you press button C

 
Only the Colour tamas have rasieable pets at the moment.
