Where can I watch Tamagotchi TV?

Recommended Posts

I've seen 6 episodes of the anime from the 90s on YouTube, but I can't find any more. Do you guys know a place to stream or buy them? I'd be so happy if I knew a place to watch it, I love that show, it's so cute. :lol:

GotchiBR has a full collection of them in three seasons:

https://www.youtube.com/user/GotchiBR/playlists

though they are in 2000s, the classic ones in 90s are not that easy to find anymore.

Good luck though

Nope derekq, mudkipclove is referring to the 90's anime, the very first one! Gotchibr only has "Tamagotchi!", that's from first years of 2000.

I love that 90's anime too ("TV de Hakken!!") and I made a little research about it (even in japanese), but it seems sort of lost :( From what I understood, just very few episodes were made into home video, because the anime wasn't finished yet. So basically what you saw should be that few home video episodes that someone kindly posted in youtube. The rest of the series I think it's impossible to find :( But if you look on youtube, there are 90's episodes about Professor Tamagotchi and his Helper that "explain" how to play with a Tamagotchi. It isn't really the same, but there are that cute little tamagotchi characters again sometimes (e.g. making a beauty contest ecc... ^_^)

Aww, I had a feeling it was lost. Thanks for the info though, I really appreciate it :)

I was thinking if Bandai will release it on dvd, since they're making lot of stuff about vintages, like gadgets in TamaDepas and the vintage apps.Maybe someone should make a petition.

It's really bad that Dynit here in Italy prefered to dub the first movie instead of releasing the vintage series on dvd, they ruined the movie and they can't ruin an anime with no speaking characters...

While the anime with Banzo and Mikachu is a special short released only on homevideo explaining how to play with Tamagotchi P1, P2 and Angel.

      I just started up my Tamagotchi Friends again and I was looking at some growth charts to plan out what characters I want. Some charts mention playing the “coin catch” game to get “active” adults. Where would I find this game? It’s not in the game section. Also, for the “social” adults, it says something about sending SMS. What exactly do they mean by this? Is it a special feature I’ve missed out on? Sorry if this is obvious stuff or if there’s another thread I should be looking at, I haven’t been into the Tamagotchi stuff in a little while. Thanks y’all ✌🏻

      Side Note~
      Recently, I’ve found a screenshot of a game that claims to have been released for the iPod 3rd and 4th generations. I am good when it comes to iPhones, but I know little about the iPods.
      Luckily, my sister has an older one and so does my grandad. Now, I doubt they would be able to be downloaded ( I don’t really know, but its a guess ) but if anyone has any information I’d love to get a hold of it.
      Now, in to the real point!
      Here is the only piece of evidence I could find on the whole internet. Seriosly! This is it along with a single article here~
      https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.engadget.com/amp/2008/11/06/new-ipod-game-tamagotchi/
      It says 2008. That’s when it was most likely released. And there’s a pretty neat picture, too.
      If anyone knows anything else- please let me know!

      Sure, there are lots of fan-made Tamagotchi pins out there, but I thought that this one was particularly notable, as it's the first one that I've seen that's based on the colour models;

      I also found this neat Tamagotchi/Kirby mash-up;

      Has anybody else found any other good ones?

      Hello! I'm wondering what episode of Tamagotchi that this screenshot came from.
      I know it was dubbed in Cantonese because I saw the screen bug for the channel that broadcasted Cantonese-dubbed episodes on the top right corner of the screen. Here is a link to the Cantonese episodes: https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/tamazone/tamagotchi-anime-episodes-t25579.html
      If you can go through the Cantonese episodes and happen to find the episode that the screenshot appears in, that would be nice. I'll greatly appreciate it if you do! 😄

      When you look back at your time with the Tamagotchi line, what's your personal all-time favourite moment?
      For me, it was noticing that the art-style of the Gen 1 Tamagotchi was quite similar to, and shared an oddball sense of humour with, Nintendo and HAL Laboratory's Kirby video game series, which I noticed right after the Tamagotchi line was released in the West.
      I first noticed this when my first Babytchi evolved into Marutchi, because I felt that Marutchi kind of resembled Kirby, and I continued to notice it throughout my time running the device.

      Kirby meets Marutchi.
      Kirby originated on the Game Boy, which had a greyscale display that allowed for four shades of green (which was changed to four shades of grey on the Game Boy Pocket), and the Tamagotchi line originally had monochrome displays, so similar limitations influenced the character-designs of both, which are generally simple, cute, and very expressive.
      The Kirby series is one of my all-time favourite video game series, and I loved the fact that the Tamagotchi bore similarities to its art-style and sense of humour, so that's why this is my favourite nostalgic Tamagotchi moment.
      What's yours?
