It has a red heart. Can't you see it's just translucent.

It's ok :P

EDIT: Back on topic, I wonder why Bandai hasn't announced these yet ... I guess the person got ahold of them before they were supposed to be released?

Just like I got my TF a month before the official release in 2013. Edited by Carleesi

Oops, your right. It just seemed to 'pop' more on the promo pic. I guess that confirms their in no way pierces and are just decoration.

I want the ziggy zaggy one! I wonder how long I'll have to wait for more info on when it becomes available in the US? Ayone know if BanDai has any usual habits about these things when new products drop in some countries, but aren't even announced elsewhere?

Well this versions are being done by Bandai US it seems, so it will probably take a while to the EU like the US version friends did.

I'm still hoping for removable faceplate, let's see when we get more information about them, it's weird they are selling all with the same shell colour but different faceplate :o

Well, I know now where my money's going. I'm wondering though, can it connect with the other TFs? I hope this turns out really good!

I'm actually SO excited. I really like the TF, it's perfect in terms of neediness/durability. Not a bother during exam time, and not too worse for wear clunking around in my purse all day.

I'm hoping for a more interesting online Dream Town with the release of these >w<

I'm pretty sure it can, since there was a Nazotchi sprite in the old TF's coding (Nazotchi sprites appear on versions if they can connect to other versions but the coding is different/incompatible or whatever XD They can still connect though... I'm bad at explaining)

I just noticed that Toys-R-Us, even though they're still on the shelves, have ended online orders and ship - to - store options on TF, and they're all marked down to $15, instead of the original $20. Seems like a move to clear the inventory to me. I'm hoping this means I get to see the new TF by summer!

And the sad thing is, kids these days don't even know what a Tamagotchi even is.

Some do know about tamagotchi. Those with parents from the 90's and awesome aunties and uncles. Lol.

Apparently not a joke. Canada, don't do the Makiko/Shima thing again... or the *coughs* not sharing of toys *cough*

Going to murder my guess and type... *dies*

There are actually 11 games! Though 2 are from the old TF and might need to be unlocked.

Also this version has skills just like the Tamagotchi P's. The skill changes depending on the classes you take at Dream School (which you do by playing games) and influences what character you get! The park is gone but it is replaced by the TV station and circus. I think the 5 new characters might be the ones from the park on the previous version (Nandetchi, Amiamitchi, etc).

Last but not least, it says there is a "Tag Read" feature coming soon. Similar to 4U touch spots maybe...?

Of course, happy to have a new version (if it's considered as a new version or just a sub-version like the iDL 15th) but disappointed as well because Bandai specifically said "This electronic device allows girls to take care of their new best friend...". Anyway, I think this will be a great release since some people were not that satisfied with the Tamagotchi Friends. I think this will be the better version of it!

It also says it can connect with the Tamagotchi Friends! Great news. :D

Oooohh exciting. No clothes but OK.

The instructions make no mention of the 5 Bump limit so hopefully they've done away with that.

So, it's the v9 lol. I'd have called it the v8.5 myself but if Bandai see's it as a whole new generation hopefully they'll rejig the advertising, Dream Town etc etc.

EDIT

Drat, under text message instructions it mentions Bump Hearts.

I am making a guess that this is the right place to put this but honestly I don’t know if it is.
Anyway I want to pre order a tamagotchi P!x because tamagotchis usually sell out really quickly in my area. I also live in a rural area so stores don’t get deliveries more than like once a month and if I don’t pre order it there’s a good chance I have to wait years to get it.
the only problem I’ve encountered is the camera on the P!x. I need to know how much you have to use it to care for your friend or if there might be a way to get out of having to use it.  I’m blind so the camera might provide a huge problem for me depending on how much I have to use it. The touch keys shouldn’t be a problem so long as the tama still makes some sort of sound.
I know no one is going to know for sure but the more I can start getting an idea of if I’ll even be able to use it the better. That way I don’t have to waste my time with it if I can’t. (I’ll still feel a little bit left out because the newer ones are getting less and less accessible to me and honestly I have a feeling that soon I’ll have to just stop getting the new ones all together)
      thabks !

A while ago, I bought 2 used Tamagotchi Connections at a pawn shop. They worked just fine, but the battery cover screw was corroded in both of them:

I searched the internet for ways to remove the corrosion. Some people would even use ketchup, but the most effective way was letting the screws sit in vinegar, then using a toothbrush to remove the rest of the corrosion, and finally cleaning them with alcohol. However, due to me being busy with school, a year passed and I still hadn't tried cleaning the screws, until a few days ago when I had some spare time and decided to try it out. I thought, why not demonstrate the whole process on TamaTalk to help people out?

First, I removed the screws from the battery covers. Tamagotchi Connection battery covers have some sort of retainer that keeps the screw from falling out. To remove the screw, I had to hold the retainer using my fingernail, then pull on the screw while twisting it counterclockwise. Now, both the screw and the retainer came out. The retainer was also a bit corroded, as well as the screw hole in the battery cover. I cleaned those with alcohol.
Now, the fun part. I let the screws sit in apple cider vinegar for around 30 minutes.

Then, I scrubbed them with a toothbrush several times. Both the screws came out looking way better, but one of them still had some ugly black marks where the corrosion was. As a last resort, I sandpapered it. I have no idea what the exact grit of the sandpaper was, but eyeing it, it seemed to be around ~200 grit. This improved the appearance of the screw drastically. Here are the results!

Comparing it to a non-corroded screw of another tama, the finish looks less shiny. But it's a lot better than a corroded screw!
I hope this tutorial was easy to understand! If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

      Heya,new to tamagotchi.
Found a morino tamagotch in a thrift store
But it wasn't working so i replaced the very old batteries with semi old ones.
It kinda worked until the batteries ran out
Though i noticed that theres something wrong
Like,it turns off and on with a light slap
So it means egg after egg after egg
Then i bought some new ones but while screwing it on to close the screen fades to nothing
But when the lid isnt fully closed,it works just fine.though that'd make it hard to put in a bag or my pocket
Also works without the lid except everytime the batteries move it turns off then on again.

I have seen some unreleased Tamagotchi Friends figures. The only ones I have seen were Spacytchi, Akaspetchi, and Pipospetchi in a 3 pack. These 3 I remember seeing photos of but I haven’t seen them in such a long time.
