Hello! I was browsing TaoBao and found these weird custom 4U faceplates for sale?

But how do you they made them? Did they somehow scrape the silver paint off a faceplate they bought, cut out their own picture, and stuck it to the back? But how did they stick it to the back without ruining the paper? I thought glue would make the paper go all mushy or something.

I tried using Google translate on the description to see how they made them, but this is what it said:"

"This is a hedgehog mom handmade 4u replace the panel, is convenient for hemp faithful own diy crunching brains out, not Bandai original panel."

Can someone work out how the person made these faceplates?

I'd like to try making my own.

Oh okay... I can't be bothered making them with resin so I'll probably just find a different way to make faceplates, lol. Probably make paper cutouts and somehow get the silver paint off the blank faceplates.

From what I read, it says that the face plates are custom made by the shop owner, and its not the original 4U face plate manufactured by Bandai. Its a clear face plate plus a sheet of paper.

They didn't give details on how the owner made it. I can read and understand Mandarin haha
