Can the Tamagotchi Friends Characters Die by Overfeeding?

I was going to experiment with the different types of characters you can get of the TF by gaining weight, but I want to make sure I won't accidentally kill it by feeding it multiple gallons of milk.

It'll only die by neglect, but it will get overweight and become a bad care character depending on gender.

Nope, I've made my Tamagotchis weigh 99lb just to see what would happen and they didn't die.
