Tamagotchi v5.5 special codes

How do I get and where do I have to enter the v5.5 special codes?

I was reading this topic https://tama-zone.com/index.php?showtopic=18431

But my tamagotchi does not have the DVD entry in the heart icon. And when I enter the passwords in "special" it does not work.

Help!

These are for the Japanese version only, I think? If I remember the North American variants never had a DVD option.

They are two different "species" meaning that the programming is somewhat different. They are incompatible
