So I've been connecting my new ID L to my P's. When I connect, the P's works fine, but the screen on the ID L goes bright white. It still makes noises, and once the connection is finished i can press buttons to feed it and stuff, but I can't see anything. The screen remains white until it powers off, and when I power on again it goes back to normal

This didn't start happening until today (I've been connecting for 3 days). Help!

 
As protoman87 said, your batteries are probably low. Most of the time when the batteries are low during a connection, the screen starts flickering. Usually a new set of batteries should fix it I think.
