Tamagotchi for a night person

I have the Tamagotchi Mermaid Gen 2. I go to sleep at 4am and the tamagotchi is asleep as well. However, when I wake up it is sick and uncared for. I know that you can pause it and I have tried this but is there a limit on the pause time? Sometimes I swear it unpauses on it's own but maybe it's a honest mistake on my part. Still having said that I have also read that it's not good to pause the tamagotchi and you should put it to sleep. But how can I put it asleep if it's already asleep and wakes while I am sleeping. I just feel a bit confused on.

Change the time so its more compatible with your schedule. I do this with the tamas that wake up at 7 am since I usually wake up at 1 pm.
