I bought a MIB Mothra (it still has its battery tag!) and I want to use her but I’m afraid since it’s so old that there may be battery corrosion.
If you owned the tama would you just pull the battery tag out or open the back to check for corrosion?

Then I'd check for corrosion. 
But I would change anyway. Go for 303SR44SW instead of LR44. The SR44 have more mAh, so longer lifetime
