When I last ran mine, I found that it took a couple of weeks for this to happen, which put it roughly in line with the fixed runtime of a Tamagotchi Mini. Obviously, this also depends on how much time you have to care for it, though.

That's good to know! I always feel bad whenever I raise the Gudetama nano because you have to let them die, so it's nice to know that the Pac-Man Tamagotchi shares the fixed death of the mini.

Entama

Nutmeg got a job as, I assume, a coach today. I can't read the job options, so the jobs that my Entama gets are always a surprise. She should be getting married sometime tomorrow or Thursday and I'll be deactivating the Entama after that.

zU2HRSV.jpg

Fairy ON

I did eventually decide to run the ON yesterday (along with another Tama that you'll see in a second). Where we last left the ON, Shy Guy got married and left me with a baby girl who I had apparently named Lucina. She evolved into a Peacetchi and inherited the frosting hair! I'm hopeful that she will inherit her father's body because a Maskutchi with frosting hair would be super cute.

buts04r.jpgu5YFDJx.jpg

Melody M!x

I noticed my M!x on the shelf next to my ON and realized I hadn't ran it in a super long time. I think that's mostly because the Meets/ON is the "superior" version, but I figured it could be fun to revisit. Upon starting it, I was greeted with a 9th generation Tantotchi. Nothing much else has happened with her seeing as she was already evolved when I started the Tama.

AKIFenA.jpg

And that's all for today! Going on a little tangent, I wish that the ON and M!x could connect. It's a little strange that they can't, seeing as the Meets and M!x can connect, but I suppose they didn't want to confuse their North American audience.

I'm going back to work tomorrow, but luckily this work week is much lighter compared to last week. I will say that I'm kinda nervous though because the sun rays and the sky are looking a little strange again. My job is mostly outdoors too, so having the air filled with ash kind of prevents me from making a living...:P My next day off is Sunday, but I'll try to update before then if I can.^_^

It's not really fixed, as such - it's just that it's perfectly feasible for enough care-mistakes to accumulate for their run-times to end up being similar. :) I would imagine that it's also possible to keep a Pac-Man Tamagotchi going for far longer if you're able to keep an eye on it constantly!

It's been awhile, but I'm back with a lot of news. I'll try to keep it concise, so let's just get into the post.

Pac-Man Tamagotchi

Mr. Jac finally ended up leaving on the 1st. I restarted upon his departure and I was greeted with a Babytchi that I named, Pixel. Pixel evolved into a Pochitchi the next day and he's just been hanging out ever since.

z8lBQhs.jpglIiTjV3.jpg

Entama

Nutmeg got married to a Tosakatchi on the 30th. She left her daughter the next day and I quit running the Entama after that.

ZlIIBjc.jpgvS9WfJs.jpg

Fairy ON

Lucina became an adult on the 30th and she ended up inheriting all the traits that I wanted her to get! I'll admit, that's a first for me when it comes to any of these genetic mixing Tamas.:P She got married the 2nd and began the reign of...

Magnus! (50% The Adventure Zone inspired + 50% Magnus' Archives inspired= 100% podcast inspired name) Magnus evolved on the 4th and ended up looking almost exactly like his mother, just missing the wings. He got married yesterday and I'm currently raising his son, Benrey.

uHzVNSX.jpgLozpiUS.jpgpduranQ.jpgqNyDhUd.jpgLidrfe0.jpg

Melody M!x

Plasma (whose name I never mentioned whoops) also evolved and married on the same days as Lucina. She had a baby boy named...

Gordon! Hello, Gordon. Gordon also evolved on the 4th, but he ended up getting married in the same day so I could stop running the M!x. As fun as it's been to revisit the M!x, I decided that running fewer Tamas is for the best right now. My schedule leaves little time for actually raising my Tamas, so running fewer allows me to actually pay attention to the remaining ones.

36OD5EJ.jpgxCnJSXv.jpg

L.I.F.E. App

I found myself wishing that I could bring my Tamas to work the other day. I just listen to podcasts pretty much all day, so wouldn't it be neat if I could link them up to my headphones? That way I could know if they need something. Then, I remembered the Tamagotchi L.I.F.E. App. This is another Tama (or at least Tamagotchi related thing, if you don't count the app as a legit Tamagotchi) that I hadn't used in awhile. The updates on the app are probably just going to be an overview of their lives once they're over, so you won't see much of it. I started it on the 2nd and was greeted by a baby boy named...

Sam! Sam went from Babytchi (Oct. 2nd) > Marutchi (Oct. 2nd) > Kuchitamatchi (Oct. 4th) > Nyorotchi (Literally right as I was typing this post).

Fu0P0IX.png

P's

Of course, in the middle of an already update heavy week, we have actual Gus news! Him and his Tamapet planted a tree together on the 1st.

ioq6vgn.jpgMiPkJO0.jpg

Still not a lot of news, but that's much more than usual for him.

And that (finally) catches everyone up! I've got this next Thursday off, but I likely won't update then either (seeing as I spent that last Sunday napping whoops). So I guess I'll see ya when I see ya!:P

How did you get the L.I.F.E app? O.o

I got it on Google Play way back when, but I don't believe it's available anymore. I think the only reason I'm still able to play it is because I had purchased it, so it's still tied to my account. Not sure if there's a modern day workaround for getting it now...

Although not available on the Play Store anymore, you could try an APK downloader which might still have it stored on their servers. You might want to give this one a shot:

Hope it helps :)

Oh now this is cool to see! :D I love seeing and reading about lesser-logged releases like this. :)

Fairy ON

Benrey evolved into an adult on the 7th and...

dm3Ktn9.jpg

Hmmm... I'm starting to notice a pattern here. This was one too many frosted Maskutchis for me, so I decided to quit running the ON after Benrey left.

qAE4c2H.jpg

This opened up a spot for the newest addition:

Magical Meets

"New" may have been an overstatement, seeing as the Meets is the same as the ON, but I'm honestly not looking for much change here.:P I started the Meets a couple of hours after I stopped running the ON and I was greeted by twin boys, Bubby and Coomer (clearly on a HLVR:AI kick over here). They became adults yesterday and I plan on marrying one of them off after making this post. Technically, Bubby has already been married via the app a few times, but I've yet to find a permanent match.

hGAyX8S.jpg

L.I.F.E. App

Sam ended up dying on the 8th, so I've officially moved on to the second generation with a Tama named, Apple. Apple has already faired better than Sam because he evolved into a Tamatchi. I wonder if the app is as strict with care as the originals because I would love to raise a Mametchi.

Xqyfu0B.pngzeeryht.png

Also:

tisroag97ro21.jpg8KS9U4M.png

Food for thought.

And that's all! Pixel and Gus are still just chillin. Looking at this post and my last post, I realize that it may be confusing and difficult to understand which Tamagotchis are currently running. It's the P's (Gus), Pac-Man (Pixel), Meets (Bubby and Coomer), and L.I.F.E. App (Apple). I'm going to stop saying when I plan to update because that just doesn't pan out these days, so I'll see you guys next time!

I figured today would be a good day for an update because I'm going to be busy this weekend (Tues/Wed). There's been an interesting development involving my seasonal employment that will leave me with more time to run my Tamas. No, I haven't been fired. My position changed from seasonal to permanent! From my understanding, this position doesn't typically change status like that, so they made that position specifically for me. I'm going to have more time in my schedule because there's less work for me in the Fall/Winter, so my hours are dropping for now (I'm currently living at home, so I can still afford rent despite the loss of hours). I'm hoping to, starting November, start running more "involved" Tamas (i.e. anything other than the Meets/ON) Overall, this was best case scenario for me.^_^

Ok, ok, that's enough personal news. Let's get on to the stars of the show:

Pac-Man Tamagotchi

Pac-Man and Pixel hightailed it out of here yesterday. I decided to stop running it in preparation for my future schedule availability.

B3rFHUF.jpg

That faceplate be lookin DUSTY tho...

Magical Meets

Despite Bubby being the more popular of the twins with three proposals under his belt, it was Coomer that ended up kicking off the next generation. He got a proposal from a cute penguin, so of course I said yes.

Eby49eT.jpg

They had a baby boy named Tommy (last of the HLVR:AI names, I promise). I actually ended up keeping Tommy with me for a few days because I couldn't find the time to marry him off and raise his child. In that time he ended up having a good dream, which I'm pretty sure is the first I've gotten that instead of a nightmare. A momentous occasion for sure.:P I finally had the time to get him married yesterday. (Also, I thought the ducky hat was cute and appropriate for his namesake).

pL8SUCi.jpg0RBNPld.jpgDqEVZK9.jpgdDMGHv0.jpg

Together they had, Sasha! Nothing much going on with her, seeing as she was born yesterday... I've noticed that the Meets is starting to have the same stubborn genetic problems as the ON (at least with the body type), but I'm hopeful that Sasha will break that. She's already got her mom's hair, so that's maybe a good sign?

FF5muPZ.jpgTiq3sfp.jpg

L.I.F.E. App

Apple evolved into a Maskutchi, but ended up dying a couple days after. I spent the day at work and I ended up taking a long nap when I got home, so they didn't stand a chance. I haven't reset the app since, but I plan on doing that soon.

iwDag4d.png

P's

I don't really have any Gus news, but I wanted to show his "girlfriend". This is really just the first girl that reached the proper requirements for a park marriage proposal, but I like to think they're dating.:P

HFwRJPg.jpg

And that's all for now! I figured it would be best to post before this weekend because my birthday is on Tuesday! Don't worry, I'm not going out during a pandemic. I'm just going to spend the day watching Studio Ghibli movies and playing video games with my family. I'll be turning twenty, which is kinda crazy to think about. I made this account when I was twelve, so I've been a TT member for almost eight years.:o I'll be twenty next time I post, so I'll see you guys then!

The screen being set in so deep on the Nanos really doesn't help this, does it?

Have a fantastic, fantastic day! :D You've clearly got excellent taste in movies - and don't forget to watch The Castle of Cagliostro, too, if you've got it, since, even though it's technically not a Ghibli film, it was Hayao Miyazaki's movie debut. ;) (Either dub is good. I prefer the 1992 Streamline Pictures dub, though I'm told that the 2000 Manga Entertainment one is great too.)

Thank you!^_^ I'll be sure to give The Castle of Cagliostro a watch as well. I only recently began watching the Ghibli films, so I'm trying to catch up. I've seen My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away so far. We recently started an HBO Max subscription, so now I've got more options available.

Sasha and her house just so happened to be dirty during the birthday animation that morning ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Birthday update: Princess Mononoke and Castle in the Sky ended up being my choices for the day! Both movies were really good, but my favorite was Princess Mononoke. It definitely gave me Breath of the Wild vibes and it turns out that's a fairly common comparison, according to my brother at least. There was also something about the world being sick and trying to find balance that I found particularly pertinent these days. The rest of the day was mainly playing Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate New Funky Mode and just hanging out with my family. It was kinda nice having a slower-paced birthday, I just wish it was under different circumstances.:P Anyway, we should get into the news about these little gremlins:

Magical Meets

Well, it turns out Sasha wasn't the one to break the ballerina body curse (spoiled by the birthday update). Like her predecessors, she just had different hair and different accessories. I decided to switch things up and marry a Tama directly from the device. I've been wanting Gozarutchi genes for awhile and I was hopeful that a more "pure" concentration of genes would prevail in breaking the curse. And with that, Lucretia was born! (I got this poster for my birthday, so TAZ was on my mind;)).

CqyBxFW.jpguIa9ee3.jpgkbLyZ7p.jpg

Here's a picture of, Sasha, all clean.

With Lucretia also came the fall of the ballerina curse! Finally, we can have a little more variety. She reminded me of the pseudo-Kunoitchi twins I found on the app (featured in an old post), so I decided to marry her to KuroMametchi today. Another marriage on the device itself. I also did a color change to try to strengthen the potential Kunoitchi energy.

PXqHbKX.jpgK8bpcy7.jpg6bdkFBc.jpgjyJfQs8.jpg

That brings us to about an hour ago when I was left with, Ashitaka. I already may have jinxed myself by even daring to type out my hope for his future appearance because he's already adopted his mother's hair instead. Knowing my luck, he'll inherit his mother's head and his father's body instead of the other way around. Of course, I'll love him regardless of the results.

rmKQbE6.jpg

L.I.F.E. App

Okay, so I haven't been the best with the app. I hatched another Tama that only made it to the Marutchi stage before kicking the bucket. I may revisit the app soon enough, but I've pretty much dropped it for now. We'll just have to see how things go.

And that's it! My work schedule is still super heavy for this next week, but my hours fall back after that. It's just been Gus and the M!x/Meets/ON for the past couple months, so I'm excited for some variety! I wonder how many I'll run and which ones they'll be...

I'm a prophet. For real though, I didn't think it would be this on the nose. Oh well... He ended up marrying and NPC on the app and they had a baby boy named Neil.

OCAUiWi.jpgOHDIGlM.jpg

This is when I began to notice that the tea hair was the new stubborn genetic. I married him to another app NPC with the unicorn hair in hopes that it would dispel this hair. They had twins named Lark and Sparrow.

6FYCXcr.jpguDbTIxh.jpgCOtoe7o.jpg

They were the ones that finally got rid of the tea hair! It just so happened that they became adults today, just in time for the new character for this month. I married her to Sparrow and finally deactivated the Meets.

tqLoAuT.jpgkwz4flO.jpg

And that's all! I'm hoping to start up all new Tamas tonight or tomorrow. I didn't want to throw a lot information into this post all at once, so that's why I made this one super quick and to the point. I'm still not sure what I want to start yet, but I suppose I'll figure it out soon enough.:P

Hello, hello, I'm a long time fan of tamagotchi but a new member to tamatalk!
I decided to start a log for the lavender Wonder Garden tamagotchi I just got, which was one part a nostalgia purchase and another part mental health purchase. As silly as it sounds, tamagotchis helped me through depression  and anxiety as a kid. They're very much security blankets to me.
However this log won't really record my mental health, just the tamagotchi so don't worry about that.

Forgive my phone's crummy camera, but I got a baby girl! I've always been more partial to female tamas personally!
Also yes, that is my personal art! I find tamagotchi's simple designs lend well to being good warm up sketches so expect seeing some doodles my tamas now and then.

So this morning my Hashizoutchi died at 18 years old.

It was the longest that I've managed to keep a Tamagotchi ever as far as I can remember. It was on the Tamagotchi Game Boy game, on which I'm playing what I decided to label the "PoorBoy's Tamagotchi". The rules are that you can only take care of your Tamagotchi if the in-game clock matches your real-life clock. I've made a post about it here:
      https://www.tamatalk.com/IB/topic/199133-how-to-make-tamagotchi-for-game-boy-more-like-a-real-tamagotchi/

Upon its death I was labeled a genius by some stranger aliens who took Venus to their home planet.

Apparently they have the ability to revive dead Tamagotchi so Venus was revived and made an Honorary Member of... something lol. They dressed him up weidly and that's last time I saw him.

So as promised, here is my log (@Penguin-keeper) . I'll be covering mostly the 3 Tamagotchi games on Game Boy. I'll be trying to get every character in every game, which I'm sure will keep me occupied for a long time. I'll also mix in some Android virtual pet apps so that the log will hopefully remain fresh and interesting.
I'm starting with Tamagotchi 1 on GB, since for the time being it's my favourite of the 3 Game Boy games.

As you can see I've already picked 4 of the eggs, with Venus being the 4th. It's time to hatch that green one which I'll be naming Gaia (I'm uninspiringly naming them after planets, before Venus was Mercury). I wonder what happens when you hatch all the eggs and the last one dies, there has to be a cinematic or something, we'll see.

So here is Gaia. Since I've been raising Tamagotchis since a very long time and know all the rules, I'm adding myself a new rule to spice things up: for this run, I'm not allowed to check Gaia's stats apart from its age and weight. In real life, your pet or kid doesn't have a hungry and happy meter, you have to guess how it's feeling.
I've also decided thar Gaia will be a nerd, I'm only going to give it Math training. The only exercise it will be doing will be to maintain its weight. We'll see how it'll grow up and how long it'll live with this education.
I think that's all for today, I'll try to post everyday if my schedule allows.

At this point for me, it's less of a tradition to keep a log than it is to start one. Half of the posts on Tamatalk are just going to be all my unfinished logs! ;A; But not this time, my dear readers. For I have dug out a Tamagotchi version that is very special to me, and with... a lot of hesitation, actually, have started it up for the first time in what feels like forever!
As the title may give away, I am running (and logging!) my pink iD L! Back when I first joined Tamatalk, these were very popular, and also everywhere unlike the listings you see today. I got both my iD Ls - the aforementioned pink version and my now-rare Princess Spacey ver - back in 2013 for less than $100 each, and I'm glad I did because nowadays, oh boy do you have to sell your own soul to get your hands on one mint in box.
Of course, this comes with its own issues - being that I've had these for seven years now, they've accumulated a ton of scratches, which is where most of my hesitation comes from. For those who aren't in the know, colour Tamagotchis - particularly their screens - are highly prone to scratches if you're not careful, and they can show up real easily on the screen as these annoying rainbow-like textures. My 4U and m!xs have managed to stay safe, luckily, but my iD Ls and my precious little P's have not had the same luck nor fortune. And don't even get me started on their front faceplates - I'd be able to actually afford a mint iD L with the amount of scratches they have.
However, it is all cosmetic in the end. And it's not like I'm ever getting a new iD L unless I risk it for a used version, so I may as well take you all down with me. I've got a Pac-Man Anniversary Mini/Nano in the mail right now as we speak, so with a little patience I'll hopefully be able to log it soon!  Let's begin!
      ~*~*~*~*~*~
      iD L
I put some new batteries in a few days ago, and was welcomed by a little Kingyobotchi! For those not in the know, they are the best-care female toddler character on the iD L. I also discovered that my iD L was on its 3rd generation last time I played it - I had previously raised a Kikitchi and an Agetchi, respectively, both of which are bad-care adult characters.
Determined to take good care of my next Tamagotchi, I proceeded to get the next highest-care teenager, Painaputchi - and didn't look at a growth chart, which is extremely rare for me! I ended up raising an adorable little Chamametchi:

I forgot how photogenic the iD L was. You can't even see any of the scratches on it's screen!
(While writing this, I realized I hadn't given Chamametchi a name yet! I searched up the nearest random name generator, and blessed her with the title of London.)
While Chamametchi isn't the... highest care character out there, she's still very cute (and not a teen, strangely). I decided to go for her Tamatomo Stamps - for those who don't have an iD L, every adult 'gotchi has three special likes that cause them to do a cute little animation + give you what's dubbed a Tamatomo Stamp. You earn the last Tamatomo stamp by having your adult-stage Tamagotchi for 72 hours (or, at least 5 years old, if I recall correctly). You can earn any Tamatomo Stamp in any order, and they're a fun little incentive to spend more time with your tama! Plus, it also gets them stamped in the memory book (which is how I discovered the previous tamas I raised), as well as a bonus cutscene when they get married.
Anyway, I decided to go for London's Tamatomo Stamps straight away! We decided to head to the park, as the market was currently being held:

It's Kuchipatchi's mum! What she's doing here, I have no idea.
Items at the market are usually marked down by 30%, so I wanted to get a good deal. I accidentally ended up leaving by way of the C button with London in tow.

It was raining outside when I took this photo! Who knew Tamagotchi Planet had the same weather cycles... and timezone... wait a second.
We decided to visit again later - for now, it was off to the TamaDepa to get something I thought London would like. The hunt for her Tamatomo stamps was on! I rarely search for these without consulting a guide, so there was an exciting factor to our adventure.
I quickly swept into the accessories aisle, and bought London a pair of cat ears! It was time for the moment of truth...

...I mean, she's still happy at least?
Unfortunately, it was not meant to be. If your Tamagotchi's latest item/accessory/food is Tamatomo-worthy, they'd usually start jumping high in the air with hearts everywhere! But London was quite mellow. She still defied gravity in her celebration, though.
I didn't want to stop there, however - maybe an outfit was what London was looking for! We went back to the market again, as outfits can be super expensive:

It's Makiko's mum! ...I just remembered that Makiko's name doesn't end in 'tchi'.
I was running low on money, so we sold off the Tamamori Tree item I got out of the toy seed I planted in London's backyard yesterday. Don't ask.
Anyway, we had enough money to buy London a lovely red kimono:

I forgot how fun it was to dress up your tamas on the iD L...
And thus the moment of truth began once again!

      Guess what happened next.
...And yet it also was not meant to be! Not only had I spent a ton of gotchi points on two outfits that weren't Tamatomo-worthy, now London looked like a weird anime character. She didn't seem to mind though.

One last photo before the post gets too big...
I decided to stop our Tamatomo hunting there for now. I took London to the different locations in the food menu, but none of the meals and snacks there seemed to activate a Tamatomo Stamp... not even the sweetest treats around! ...That, and it ended with me accidentally discovering Chamametchi's least favorite food. By then my pockets were totally empty. I'm sure I'm missing something here... maybe I should be more open to London's tastes and stop assuming that all she likes is pink stuff just by the colour of her ears? The irony is real.
Next post: more stamp hunting! Meeting a Tama-pet at the park enough times to create a bond with them and take them home... I missed those guys on the 4U and m!x, they were useless but I loved them anyway!

      Hey guys!
I've been thinking of getting a tama for a long time now, and one time I just felt like getting a knockoff. Just to see how vpets are like.
      But, speculations..
I mean, why not just get a real one? They're much better than the knockoffs anyway!
Can you guys please help me?
      Thanks~

I should've started this log earlier, but whatever... But at least I have a name for it now!
Seeing as I'm still figuring this log out, the format might switch between a normal log and a roleplay sort of log (the tama and me talking to eachother).
Anyways, I'm on my 23rd gen of tamas now. But meet our current tama, Jazz!

Nothing much happened, mostly because Jazz is a little baby and you can't really do much with them.
      Jazz: Hey!
That's not really an insult. Plus, your only a baby for, like, an hour.
Jazz: I guess.. But.. That doesn't mean I have to like it!
      I guess not.
Jazz ate a lot, and would occasionally play with his bear. Which makes me wonder, where does the toy bear go once your tama becomes a child? You can't see it in the items, but what happens to it?
      Jazz: What?
      Nothing!
For a while, Jazz watched YouTube with me and hopped around his room until he was tired and took a lil nap.

( DISCLAIMER: This story is entirely fictional.)
Once upon a time, in the year 2045...
Tamagotchis were starting to get boring in the world, and Bandai was starting to get desperate. They had to create a new Tamagotchi. One that would get everyone into the craze again.
      So, they created the UltraTama.
A Tamagotchi that had all  of the previous Tamagotchi model features in one.
When they released it, it was a megahit. People absolutely loved them.
      --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There was a girl named Hana who was enjoying her new UltraTama very much. She brought it everywhere, and had fun connecting her device with other people's UltraTamas.
      ( To be continued!~)
