Hey I was wondering if you guys could help me I just found my old v4.5 I believe? Tamagotchi it’s the one with earth around the  screen for some reason it won’t turn on I replaced the battery and tried to reset it it’s just a screen of a rainbow and colorful shapes around it there is nothing else 

Also yes it is a real one my father brought it back from japan and it says Bandai on the back 

Update a put a new set of battery’s in and it’s working fine now

If the battery runs out too quickly, try bending the metal contacts a little, it happens fairly often with the connection models.

 
I would not actually recommend bending the battery contact.... get a piece of art foam and cut it to size. Then put it on top of the battery and close it up. I had to do this with one of mine. Be sure to make sure it’s is a cr2032, not a cr2025. They both work, but 25 is thinner and will be used more quickly due to charge imput.
