GameStop seems to have listed the Demon Slayer up for pre-order and they have a filler date of the 1st of January of 2021. This is exciting even if it is still in Japanese!

EDIT:

It is in Japanese but Bandai.com is said to have English instructions. This is weird, but I kind of like them bringing over releases that I did not expect to see outside of Japan!

Also, There are only 2 shells of the 3. The black shell with purple and white accent is not on the website for us to see.

EDIT 2:

AMAZON has all three shells: https://smile.amazon.com/Tamagotchi-Slayer-Kisatsutaitchi-Japanese-Version/dp/B08BNVZDVH/ref=sr_1_49?dchild=1&keywords=tamagotchi&qid=1593787181&sr=8-49&th=1

I am unsure if the Black shell is exclusive for Amazon for the Us and Canada, like it was in Japan.

I feel you! I like the shell designs a lot as well and I only know of Demon Slayer, but past the name and a few character designs, I know nothing xD

I know of it purely from some coverage by the YouTube channel Gaijin Goombah Media, which mainly covers cultural-history topics through the lens of pop-culture, and from that alone I must say that it's not something that I expected to get a tie-in Tamagotchi Nano!

I started watching the anime cause I'm getting the Tamas. I'm liking what I've seen so far.

I'm predicting that the Eevee Tamagotchi is next in line for localization. Considering Pokemon's 25th anniversary is on the horizon, it'd be ideal timing.

And if Evatchi ever gets here, it'll probably be P-Bandai as well (I'm surprised Evatchi got made to begin with considering Tatsunoko Production, one of Evangelion's producers, is partially owned by Bandai's rival Takara Tomy!).

And Takara Tomy has made some virtual pet-like toys in recent years, which makes that even stranger! :P

Arf, the laws and copyright etc... are a mistery for regulars peoples... we must consider that Tamagotchi is a solid brand. So it's a better idea to sell your license with royalty to a company that is used to sell thousand of nanos, than invest your own money to make a "nano like", without being to close to the real nano, and with the risk to fail at selling it. Tamagotchi is a multi-generanionnal devise, Takara Tommy, in terme of virtual pet, is more in second position, with products more oriented to child...
