Alright so as expected, that hyurutchi evolved into exactly the same Hikotchi I had gotten the last time so I didn't feel the need to create an entry about it. I took really mediocre care of Hikotchi since it was a little difficult for me to play the game these last 2 days (I was way more excited by my Matlab de Hakken project than playing this game). As a result, Hikotchi had a TMP regression and evolved into a 2 crown Kiwitchi.

The number of balls clearly represents the "official" tamagotchi's TMP rank whereas the crowns seem to represent how good you've taken care of the tamagotchi before it evolved. So from now on I'm only going to mention the number of crowns.

Here's my current progress on getting every character in this game:

IMG-20201102-184558.png

I'm glad to finally see something new from this game. I hope the next marriage will also give me a baby I've never had before. As usual I'm not marrying Kiwitchi right away and keeping him for 24 hours so we'll see what happens tomorrow.

I married Kiwitchi to a 2 crown Billkotchi and they gave birth to... a Tsubutchi again!

IMG-20201104-082017.png

Kiwitchi didn't do a weird face this time

IMG-20201104-081956.png

This sprite looks like a Shirobabitchi from Tamagotchi P2

IMG-20201104-081922.png

It had 2 crowns and I got fed up with the Tsubutchi/Hyurutchi/Hikotchi/Hiratchi line so I decided ok, this little guy's going to be the victim of neglect, I'm going for a TMP regression at this point. I really didn't want to see Hyurutchi again. I hoped it would evolve into Mohitamatchi.

IMG-20201104-081836.png

Well, the game did spare me having to care for yet another Hyurutchi, but to my surprise, with all the neglect Tsubutchi had gotten it still evolved into a TMP2 character, i.e. Puchitchi!?

IMG-20201104-081822.png

IMG-20201104-081804.png

At this point I'm starting to think the evolutions and the mating system are either just random or buggy. Or I'm just not understanding explanations correctly. I know you guys probably have way more experience than I do about the Osutchi/Mesutchi, so please tell me if I'm missing something.

Anyway, I think I'm going back to the Umi Tamagotchi on Tamagotchi 2 after this Puchichi gets married. I'm growing tired of Tamagotchi 3 and its less than stellar gameplay.

I was supposed to explain exactly why I think it's an inferior game compared to Tamagotchi 1 and 2 on GB but unfortunately there are so many little details I don't like it would take too much time for me to explain them in depth. I'll just give a few lightning fast examples off the top of my head: There's a praise option but it doesn't seem to do anything. Also there are mini-games but they seem to have nothing to do with the rest of the game. The graphics aren't as nice as the 2 previous games, the colors are dull and everything feels like I could have drawn it on MSPaint. Let's just stop here for now.

I'll update you guys when Puchitchi evolves. Sorry for the pictureless post, I'll try to update the post with pictures tomorrow.

Good day or night

Actually, as far as the Osutchi/Mesutchi Game Boy game goes, I'm pretty sure that you're a trailblazer, here! ;)

Definitely! Plus all the effort your put into trying to understand the TMP Level relation to the Crowns and the Balls, give yourself more credit! You truly deserve it! :D

Alright so Puchitchi thankfully evolved into a 1-Crown Moritchi which then turned into a 2-Crown Marumimitchi, despite me really giving pretty average care (getting tired with the game really).

IMG-20201106-113108.png

IMG-20201106-113053.png

Marumimitchi likes Victorian-era towns

IMG-20201106-113027.png

IMG-20201106-113013.png

I'm going to keep Marumimitchi for 24 hours and then either hatch an Umi (ocean) egg on Tamagotchi 2 GB or just pause this log for a while. I feel like this log is really consuming a lot of my time and I need a short break from it. I'm not 100% sure just yet whether I'm taking that break or not, I'm giving myself 24h to think about it.

Here's my progress on Tamagotchi 3:

Marumimitchi was very sickly and fragile and it almost died on me twice yesterday. I wonder if that might be because I neglected it pretty hard when it was a baby Tsubutchi. Anyway, I ended up marrying it earlier than I originally planned. I married it to a 2-crown Billkotchi Marumimutchi seemed happy with it. They gave birth to a 2-crown Tsubutchi AGAIN and I took average care of it. Said Tsubutchi then evolved into another 2-crown Puchitchi, confirming my desire to pause my playthrough of this game.

As you may know, I'm working on a fanmade Tamagotchi project and it's already taking a lot of my time, so I think I'm going to pause this log momentarily. I hope you guys have enjoyed the ride. I might come back when I finish the project or around christmas.

Good day or night to you all!

Yep, I second this! I've had a great time reading about versions that don't normally get much coverage from the community, as well as seeing the beginnings of your Matlab de Hakken project. :)

Well, here we go again.

First thing I did this morning as soon as I woke up was hatch a new egg in Tamagotchi GB. Keeping with the trend of naming my pets in this game after planet names, I named this one Ares (greek for Mars).

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16068

Ares hatched into a Shirobabytchi at 10 A.M. (no, I didn't wake up at 10 A.M lol) and remained in that stage up until 3 PM when it evolved into a Marutchi.

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16068

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16068

I've noticed that everytime you hatch a new egg, the baby character is hungry and bored, and almost as soon as you feed it and play with it, it does this face:

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16068

It doesn't stop doing this face when you scold or praise it and it does the same face during the Maths mini game so I figured it's meant to ask the user to play a sports or IQ mini-game. I honestly have no better explanation.

Anyway, for this run I'm going to try to obtain a mediocre-care character so this time around I'm only going to take care of Ares when it calls for something. As far as Exercise and IQ go, I haven't made my mind just yet on how much training I'm going to give it, but I think I should give it enough exercise so that it doesn't become too overweight.

As a result of this policy, Ares is currently asleep with 0 "happy" hearts, so, off with a good start ain't I?. Well, Ares doesn't seem like a nice guy in greek mythology, so I don't feel bad O:)

Not much to say about Ares today. It just evolved into a Tamatchi. As you can see, it was pretty miserable when that happened.

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16069

Well, I'm trying to avoid having a good character, so the ends justify the means!

So today I've realized that I've already kinda screwed up my plan to obtain a bad care character.

IMG-20201103-000710.jpg

I've realized by giving a look at this chart I had made that I've already gotten the best possible Teen, which means that maybe I'm not being a bad enough parent to Ares. Maybe tomorrow it's going to get scolded for no good reason. Don't worry @Tamacass, it's for the greater good!

Today Ares went to a beauty contest... and lost. The other contestants were a Tongaritchi, a Kuchitamatchi, and a Hashitamatchi. And guess who won?

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16070

Yep! It was actually one of the worse care characters. Hashitamatchi and Kuchitamatchi are pretty good at the duckface (maybe because that's exactly what they are, nothing more than duck faces), and that's what they both did.

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16070

And, I don't know what Ares was thinking when doing this:

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16070

And Tongaritchi's face wasn't the least bit better

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16070

So of course Ares was in tears

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16070

Until I fed it its customary loser cake:

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16070

And then of course I gave it its routine neglect that doesn't even seem to be working!

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16070

Since Tamatchi loses hearts at a very slow rate, today was very uneventful apart from the Beauty contest, so I think that's all I have for today. Tomorrow we should have an evolution and if all goes well we should finally see a new character.

(I'm really bummed by the fact that I ended up going through the exact same path as with my last runs. I wish I could have gotten Tonmarutchi or a beaked teen!)

Well, to my surprise Ares did NOT evolve today. I've been scolding it from dawn to dusk but it never got sad and kept doing that weird "I don't get it" face.

Other than that it went to a Beauty tournament today and won. I didn't take pictures of the contestants' faces but they were pretty ridiculous.

And also I've started giving Ares a little Math training, and its Sport stat is now higher than its IQ stat. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to start taking Ares in this direction shortly before it evolves.

Well, who knows

I find it quite fitting that Ares evolved into a Maskutchi, but I can't really explain why. All I know is I'm glad that it didn't evolve into a character I already had - plus the fact that I might get secret character Bill. I'm saying might because I have no clue whatsoever on what to do in order to get him, and I refuse to look it up.

But first things first. This is the face Tamatchi makes when you yell at it.

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16071

(Imagine your kid doing this face if you yell at it - undisciplinable child!)

In the morning I thought a food poisoning followed by a few forceful injections would be pretty decent in order to have a bad character, so I gave Ares a few cakes:

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16071

It hated the injection:

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16071

After 8 or 9 seemingly useless injections I thought maybe Ares had had enough and decided to give it syrup

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16071

At around 4 PM, Ares evolved into Maskutchi

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16071

and quite fittingly, the first thing it did was... POOP!

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16071

I'm not sure I understand the designers' rationale for this, but Maskutchi's eyes are absent in a lot of its animations

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16071

Maskutchi's face is so weird, I'm not even sure when it's displaying happiness or not. I wasn't able to figure out his favorite food yet

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16071

I decided to take Ares to a beauty contest just to see what kind of face it would make. Answer:

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16071

Good boy Ares! This face is much cuteness! Soo beauty!

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16071

Takotchi looked like someone made fun of him in the audience.

The other guys were Pochitchi and Ginjirotchi

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16071

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16071

Needless to say, Pochitchi crushed the competition. And that's how I got to witness Maskutchi's crying face:

Tamagotchi-USA-Europe-SGB-Enhanced-16071

I decided to stop with the abuse now that Ares is an adult. Keep in mind the challenge for me is not just to have every character but also to keep every character for as long as possible, and obtain as many medals with each character as possible. Besides, maybe I'll be able to see Bill? One can dream! In any case, the slacking days are over!

Not much has happened today. I took Ares to another Beauty contest but it lost again. It now has IQ & Health maxed out and Discipline 50% full.

Hi I’m going to restart doing a log after not being here for a year. Anyhoo, I still have the same Tamagotchi white color on :). I’ll update later
    • By iTamannadi
Hello everyone and welcome to my log!
I would like to start this log by saying happy new year to all of you and wish you all the best in 2021. I'm sure last year was rough and we all struggled during the unexpected pandemic so please stay strong and safe because clearly the fight is not over, and I hope that this year is going to be the end of it and a beginning for all good things.
As you can see from the title that I'm going to log here about my Magical Witch and the Devilgotchi which I am so excited about and for some reason worried at the same time! I will be logging while I'm exploring these two fascinating toys and yes it took me SO long playing with them for what is going on in world, but the time has finally come and I hope you guys will enjoy this post.
So today is the day that I finally decided to put some batteries into my new evil babies and the excitement I felt when I turned them on!
      Starting with the Devilgotchi:
when I removed the tab I immediately saw to what appears to be  like a smoke that lasted for a few seconds until the bat showed up as you can see below:

the bat just kept flying and flashing for about 2-3 minutes and then it evolved to Deviltchi:

a new Devil is born, without really realizing the consequences of raising a devil has just begun! 😈
I took sometime figuring out the menu and of course fed him and tried to fill his both Hunger and Happy meter. Right after that I played the 'Catch' game, all you have to do is throw a star for your devil to catch it. You need to collect 4 stars in each round to win. As far as I know the game doesn't end unless you press C or lose but I'm not sure about that.

I actually spent good amount of time playing the game until... he.. slept during one of the rounds and made a very evil sound, not gonna lie I was caught off guard when I saw him sleeping and then suddenly he started smiling while the screen was inverting. Took me a while when I realized that this is him being mischievous and he wouldn't let me continue playing! By that time he stopped doing it so when I went and checked his Devil Power or DP is increased to 50, that means 10 more points were added because I didn't take any action quicker!
After that happened I thought I need to keep an eye on this little devil because I'm not allowing this to happen again, so I did that and made sure that every time he misbehaved and tried to be mischievous I will discipline him which is exactly what happened
This is him being naughty and not allowing me checking his health status after he beeped:

that was the only time I was able to take a pic of how often and quickly he will pull pranks on me which makes me laugh every time I see him sabotaging the games, not allowing me to check his status or even rejecting the food when he calls for it!
That helped me reduce his Devil Power a lot a long with 'Shaking Hands' with him. Randomly he will beep while looking at me and giving me a lovely little evil smirk which basically means that he is being friendly and wants peace:

Ultimately, all I want to trigger is a 'Good End' and a good looking character when he reaches his final stage, all that can be done if I manage to discipline him and make sure the friendship level between us is good. Only time could tell we should just wait and see...
      The Magical Witch:
After inserting the batteries oh my I couldn't believe I'm actually starting my very first Magical Witch that happens to be the air witch, also called Baluluna. After setting the time I waited for about 5 minutes to finally have my witch arrive! Also I would like to say that the animation is beautiful when there is a moon on the side of the screen that keeps rotating until your witch arrive, thought that was a perfect intro that suits the theme of the toy

She was hungry and wasn't feeling well (as she should be I mean who take 5 minutes to show up) I fed her some seeds and snacks to fill her meters up.
After settling her down, I went and searched about mixing the ingredients to create potions because that's what Magical Witches are about, using magic to either curse or cure another witch. I tried the first time mixing the very first potion that you can make and things did not turn out well...

the first attempt as you can see above didn't end well, while using the mixing bowl my witch looked funny when suddenly the potion exploded at her haha! She looked a bit sick and it took me a lot of time to actually figure out how to cure her from the explosion and turned out one of the seeds she has in store can actually cure her but needed to be used multiple times. I decided to give her a break for few minutes and go for another try one more time. This time she did well by mixing the ingredients well and we got what we wanted for our very first mix which is mushrooms:

Each time you successfully mix the ingredients you will get three pieces from the same mix. I gave my witch another break and made sure she is fed and healthy before going for the second potion she has to make.
The second mix went very well and it took only one attempt:

As can be seen, the second item she obtained is a broom, which will help us obtain the third item/food that we will try to mix tomorrow.
Paying attecntion to her MP or Magical Power could give us a really good results with the witch behavior and how well she could produce different mixtures, if there's another witch involved that will help it increase even faster but we should be alright with just one.
      The End:
That was all it for today, I personally am enjoying them both equally and I believe the more is yet to come. Although my Devil keeps beeping while it's asleep as I'm writing this it beeped more than 5 times (now it's 3am where I live) I've always loved the fact that you need to take care of a Devil and that didn't disappoint especially that I have terrible history with vintage tamagotchis but this one is different I can tell.  The Magical witches don't necessarily function as a Tamagotchi but they do look alike. For example the icons are similar, the buttons and how they respond is the same and I think the overall it's simpler gameplay wise. Definitely excited to see what we can do tomorrow so stay tuned.
this is the end of today's log, hope you guys enjoyed it please feel free to comment about anything.

      Hey guys!
      The long-anticipated moment has arrived..
I got my very first Tamagotchi!
It is the Magic White version of the Tamagotchi ON.
So in this log, I won't be posting pics, sadly.
      LET THE LOG COMMENCE!
      Friday, 27/11/2020.
I started up my new Tama, filled in everything, and got ready for my egg to hatch!
It hatched into.. a girl, which my dad named Daisy.
I took care of it, then it took a nap for, like 3 minutes. I woke up the screen to see that it had pooped on the spot.
Not long after, it had evolved into Chiroritchi, a good care character!
So I immediately got to getting out and earning gotchi points.
That's it for now, see ya next time! >w<

Hello, hello, I'm a long time fan of tamagotchi but a new member to tamatalk!
I decided to start a log for the lavender Wonder Garden tamagotchi I just got, which was one part a nostalgia purchase and another part mental health purchase. As silly as it sounds, tamagotchis helped me through depression  and anxiety as a kid. They're very much security blankets to me.
However this log won't really record my mental health, just the tamagotchi so don't worry about that.

Forgive my phone's crummy camera, but I got a baby girl! I've always been more partial to female tamas personally!
Also yes, that is my personal art! I find tamagotchi's simple designs lend well to being good warm up sketches so expect seeing some doodles my tamas now and then.
    • By Tamacass
At this point for me, it's less of a tradition to keep a log than it is to start one. Half of the posts on Tamatalk are just going to be all my unfinished logs! ;A; But not this time, my dear readers. For I have dug out a Tamagotchi version that is very special to me, and with... a lot of hesitation, actually, have started it up for the first time in what feels like forever!
As the title may give away, I am running (and logging!) my pink iD L! Back when I first joined Tamatalk, these were very popular, and also everywhere unlike the listings you see today. I got both my iD Ls - the aforementioned pink version and my now-rare Princess Spacey ver - back in 2013 for less than $100 each, and I'm glad I did because nowadays, oh boy do you have to sell your own soul to get your hands on one mint in box.
Of course, this comes with its own issues - being that I've had these for seven years now, they've accumulated a ton of scratches, which is where most of my hesitation comes from. For those who aren't in the know, colour Tamagotchis - particularly their screens - are highly prone to scratches if you're not careful, and they can show up real easily on the screen as these annoying rainbow-like textures. My 4U and m!xs have managed to stay safe, luckily, but my iD Ls and my precious little P's have not had the same luck nor fortune. And don't even get me started on their front faceplates - I'd be able to actually afford a mint iD L with the amount of scratches they have.
However, it is all cosmetic in the end. And it's not like I'm ever getting a new iD L unless I risk it for a used version, so I may as well take you all down with me. I've got a Pac-Man Anniversary Mini/Nano in the mail right now as we speak, so with a little patience I'll hopefully be able to log it soon!  Let's begin!
      ~*~*~*~*~*~
      iD L
I put some new batteries in a few days ago, and was welcomed by a little Kingyobotchi! For those not in the know, they are the best-care female toddler character on the iD L. I also discovered that my iD L was on its 3rd generation last time I played it - I had previously raised a Kikitchi and an Agetchi, respectively, both of which are bad-care adult characters.
Determined to take good care of my next Tamagotchi, I proceeded to get the next highest-care teenager, Painaputchi - and didn't look at a growth chart, which is extremely rare for me! I ended up raising an adorable little Chamametchi:

I forgot how photogenic the iD L was. You can't even see any of the scratches on it's screen!
(While writing this, I realized I hadn't given Chamametchi a name yet! I searched up the nearest random name generator, and blessed her with the title of London.)
While Chamametchi isn't the... highest care character out there, she's still very cute (and not a teen, strangely). I decided to go for her Tamatomo Stamps - for those who don't have an iD L, every adult 'gotchi has three special likes that cause them to do a cute little animation + give you what's dubbed a Tamatomo Stamp. You earn the last Tamatomo stamp by having your adult-stage Tamagotchi for 72 hours (or, at least 5 years old, if I recall correctly). You can earn any Tamatomo Stamp in any order, and they're a fun little incentive to spend more time with your tama! Plus, it also gets them stamped in the memory book (which is how I discovered the previous tamas I raised), as well as a bonus cutscene when they get married.
Anyway, I decided to go for London's Tamatomo Stamps straight away! We decided to head to the park, as the market was currently being held:

It's Kuchipatchi's mum! What she's doing here, I have no idea.
Items at the market are usually marked down by 30%, so I wanted to get a good deal. I accidentally ended up leaving by way of the C button with London in tow.

It was raining outside when I took this photo! Who knew Tamagotchi Planet had the same weather cycles... and timezone... wait a second.
We decided to visit again later - for now, it was off to the TamaDepa to get something I thought London would like. The hunt for her Tamatomo stamps was on! I rarely search for these without consulting a guide, so there was an exciting factor to our adventure.
I quickly swept into the accessories aisle, and bought London a pair of cat ears! It was time for the moment of truth...

...I mean, she's still happy at least?
Unfortunately, it was not meant to be. If your Tamagotchi's latest item/accessory/food is Tamatomo-worthy, they'd usually start jumping high in the air with hearts everywhere! But London was quite mellow. She still defied gravity in her celebration, though.
I didn't want to stop there, however - maybe an outfit was what London was looking for! We went back to the market again, as outfits can be super expensive:

It's Makiko's mum! ...I just remembered that Makiko's name doesn't end in 'tchi'.
I was running low on money, so we sold off the Tamamori Tree item I got out of the toy seed I planted in London's backyard yesterday. Don't ask.
Anyway, we had enough money to buy London a lovely red kimono:

I forgot how fun it was to dress up your tamas on the iD L...
And thus the moment of truth began once again!

      Guess what happened next.
...And yet it also was not meant to be! Not only had I spent a ton of gotchi points on two outfits that weren't Tamatomo-worthy, now London looked like a weird anime character. She didn't seem to mind though.

One last photo before the post gets too big...
I decided to stop our Tamatomo hunting there for now. I took London to the different locations in the food menu, but none of the meals and snacks there seemed to activate a Tamatomo Stamp... not even the sweetest treats around! ...That, and it ended with me accidentally discovering Chamametchi's least favorite food. By then my pockets were totally empty. I'm sure I'm missing something here... maybe I should be more open to London's tastes and stop assuming that all she likes is pink stuff just by the colour of her ears? The irony is real.
Next post: more stamp hunting! Meeting a Tama-pet at the park enough times to create a bond with them and take them home... I missed those guys on the 4U and m!x, they were useless but I loved them anyway!

      Hey guys!
I've been thinking of getting a tama for a long time now, and one time I just felt like getting a knockoff. Just to see how vpets are like.
      But, speculations..
I mean, why not just get a real one? They're much better than the knockoffs anyway!
Can you guys please help me?
      Thanks~
