    • Tamagotchi FTW! You can see the Nintendo correlation from space! Plus, they made Animal Crossing work, so why not?

    • Tamagotchi, but I wouldn't mind Digimon being represented in other ways (Spirits, Music, Mii Costume, etc.).

    • Digimon FTW! They're more fit for battle and have enjoyed greater global success! Plus, Pokémon vs Digimon. Nuff said.

    • I'd be hyped if either franchise joined the fray.

    • Neither franchise should be in Smash Bros. There are other, far more deserving Bandai Namco characters out there.

    • Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has more than enough third-party representation. The remaining 4 fighters should hail from Nintendo.

    • I don't play Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, so I don't have a major opinion on this matter.

I met a guy named Jordan on Twitter who is EXTREMELY persistent on Mametchi joining Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. I repeatedly told him that as a Tamagotchi fan, I felt that Digimon would be a much better choice. But what do you all think? Should the original charming aliens we know and love or their edgier, ferocious digital dinosaur counterparts get the red-seal invitation?

I'd say neither. Digimon works since it's another Namco IP but when it comes to Tamagotchi, it's impossible to have Mametchi to have his own moveset. Besides, I'd be fine to see a Tamagotchi Spirit Board event (mostly for an promotion for a brand new Tamagotchi that they have in-store).
