You need to pay more attention to it. Here's some examples:
Keep your training bar high
Keep your weight low
don't let happy or hungary hearts drop below 2
Don't let it get too bored play some games!!

I don't know how you must take care of your tamagotchi so it will become a masktchi but I think you took bad care of it(no offence). Because my friend did and he got a masktchi. So you just take better care of it!
