you should be able to take them with you in the plane, just maybe dont connect cuz i dont know what that would do to the plane. i know the ir port only goes out about 5 inches but you never know, something could happen. turn the sound off [respect the others who are stuck in the plane with you] and it should have no more affect then if you had a music player. however, i suggest you dont take a ketai, or anyone reading, because it connects to cell phones. what if it connects to the plain tower? i dont think it would but that would be weird. and u should be able to connect when after they take off.
