Please help...

I was connecting with my friend when it suddenly had the low battery sign, so when I came home I opened it up and I put a new battery in. When I put the battery in it turned on, and there was an egg! In the directions it says that it will have an option between download and reset when you press the reset button, so I pressed it but the only thing that happened was that the egg was still there and it beeped again. I don't know what to do! Is this normal or is my Tama messed up? Please help, I was on 10th generation!

when you change the battery and push reset you can push the B button and pick download or reset.
