When your tamagotchi dies, you don't reset it! you simply press and hold bottons A and C like you would if you wanted to turn the sound on or off. A new egg should appear.

if you reset it when you see it dying you will get your charachter come back,

if you wait until the egg with wings fly up youre too late!! :huh:
