Yeah. Try to do what Polkadork said.
Example- If you take care of your tama, lets say about, every ten minutes, then try to take care of it every five minutes.
The reason you always get the same character is because you treat all your tama's the same. Well, I hope I helped you.

I know how you feel. I almost always get Kuribotchis ( ). I think the toddlers are random. And sometimes it's not different care, I got ChoHimetchis ( :kuribotchi: ) two different ways.

Sometimes my tama might be the same after
a few generations, but not continuously.
