How do you visit your friend Tamagotchi?

I have been trying to connect to my brothers Tamagotchi, but it won't work. I am doing it exactly how you are supposed to do it.

are you connecting in the sun? cause if you are, it won't work.

go to the heart on the screen and press v3 if he has a v3 and others if he has a v1,v2 and u will have a choice of game, present'visit if he has a v3 that is your choices if he has a v1,v2 u might play a game or give presents u then press your choice then it will say stand by press the middel butten an it will say connect, that's hope i helped! :marumimitchi:

Are they less than 3 inches part, have both the infared connesters facing each other and set to the same friend visiting mode? That might be your problem. :huh:
